The unscripted is actually the most accurate portrayal of a school choir I remember seeing in the show from when they were just in their room. (Granted, it's been a while since I've watched it all the way through.) My middle school choir did that type of thing all the time waiting for our teacher or if we weren't preparing for a concert/if she was next-door preparing the band kids for a concert, so if it was scripted, they should've done that type of thing more often for the accuracy but y'know

the whole unscripted performance is honestly so iconic. i think it sounds so good to, it doesn’t sound recorded (in studio) so we don’t here as much of rachel overpowering other voices, and you can genuinely tell the cast was just having fun, and that was it. it sounds good in every way

Brittany, Santana, and Mike also had a few lines especially Mike during the season 1. Santana was the only one who became significant at the end of the season giving her some more lines. It's the actor's fault that he left the show and not wait for his time to shine. Mike and Brittany had proper dialogues in season 2. If he hadn't left, he could've been a main character 🤷‍♀️

@Caleb Mayfield it's because they're not main characters. They're not series regulars. They were just supposed to be extra for that season. Mike isn't a main character until season 3 or 4. The bullies has more lines because they are anchored to a main character. Brittany has more because Santana become significant later on plus Quinn and Sue. I don't remember Lauren having so much lines in S1
