I told my friend about Eve lore and she came up with the theory that hitotsume represents death because he isn't bad nor good kind of neutral like death. Plus in Dramaturgy it is stated that he appears before those who gave up which may be also a reference to how death is inevitable and comes to those who are weakened. Also when baumkuchen end?

Thanks to PJSK, this song has always read as a love song to me. I’ve always thought of it as someone finding someone else and learning to give into feelings, to just love and be happy when they haven’t allowed themselves to be. It’s really sweet for the characters they have cover it in the game, as it fits his arc of allowing himself to work with others and be truly happy. I’m really happy I could find some more detailed interpretations and dive into the lore and story that was meant for this song. E ve songs are really something, they can touch you in so many ways.

i was doing some research about dreams and i found out that there's a very common dream about a tall and very dark man wearing a hat who just stares at the dreamer, maybe this was what eve refered to in the interview about hitotsume sama. that mysterious man is known as "hat man" for anyone wondering. this also reminded me of "this man" another common dream

One and a half year ago i saw that man, when i knew nothing about eve. I was trying to shift reality with little success. At one night i woke up to not being able to move or give out any sound at all. A man was coming forward me, who was tall and black. Not the race black, its just black. I dont know if his skin was black, maybe its just the clothes, i dont even know if i saw his skin. But surely he was black coloured. I didnt saw his head, i think, because i couldnt move, and the head part would be off my sight. He may touched my left hand, but im not sure. I also dont remember what did i feal. Fear? Most likely. Or supposedly. Maybe suprised? Panic? Less and less likely. At that time those may was already lost. It could hapen that i didnt react at all. So calm. Dosent care about whats next. My mind earsed all the details, as many more. A half year ago i remembered it so clearly. Or i just said so. I dont know when did i started reasoning with having bad memory. So the weird friend started talking about sleep paralysis, and then turned out four or three of us experienced some kind of this. My question would be that: is it that common, and just no one talks about it, or is it just our mentaly ill group of teens? Never since that i heard anyone talking about this in public, only in the internet. Still, the only sane one of us was the one who brought this up. Hes just, for all, weird, unnatural, but perfectly fine with that. He gets bullied even by us, hes ugly and strange, but he dosent care. Hes doing what makes him happy, and dosent care about what others think or say. Society couldnt exist with enough people like him.

After hearing this, a way to connect the whole bun disappearing and hitostumei almost existing without bun, could be a whole play or secondary meaning of a Jekyll and Hyde. Where by is dr. Jekyll and hitostume is Hyde, in the bun is logical and make emotions out to bad like jeckle hating his loose, happy, and free emotions, and bottling them up. Letting them free with an elixir that forms hide which just wants to have fun with no consequences while they both suffer from blurring and meshing together. This could’ve happened where bun feels guilty for suppressing them, and eventually excepts that he’s now happier with himself after hitotumei “fixed” him and wanting to let hitostumei help others. Becoming one with hitotumei that that sounds too far fetched.

For my part, after watching Nonsense Bungaku many times, I thought I had understood everything about the clips and Hitotsume sama. However your explanation was really helpful. I realized that there were elements missing from my analysis of the video. Your theories and explanations are very well found and everything agrees with your research on the subject. Another mind-blowing video!! Great job! :DD I was really interested in 14:48, because the eye thing reminded me of also a thing we have in my country (and im pretty sure in many other countries as well). Whenever someone feels like their head hurts and they feel dizzy, moms and grandmas say that it's because of "the eye" or "the bad eye". Some people wear bracelets or keep a small blue eye charm so that "the bad eye" doesn't affect them. This kinda reminded me of him, but i don't see Hitotsume as a villain/bad guy xD Just thought i'd say that, and keep up the good work!! ^^
