In the yearly recap of 10 best moments of Godsplaining, "Toad-talk" easily would be in the top 5.

I have a private Godsplaining playlist that I have created. It features none of my favorite episodes and insights but rather simply all of the best Godsplaining laughter moments. The playlist has just found its new leader!

I have decided to be said scholar of classics. The kalends are the first day of the month, the nonnes are the 5th or 7th day of the month, and the ides are 13th or 15th of the month, depending on whether it is a major month (31 days) or a minor month (30 days)

March, July, October, May, the Ides fall on the 15th day. Before or after, in between, the Ides fall on day 13.

I want to make a meme with someone in confession w,ondering,' He must think I'm just a horrible person!', and then Father Bonaventure with a thought bubble thinking about toads and lizards and little carts😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Here's an observation and I wonder if you Dominicans agree: Your order has been successful in part because you live in community and learn to work and enjoy each other's company as you grow in holiness and preach the Word. Watching Fr. Bonaventure make Fr. Gregory laugh is my evidence.

Leapin' Lizards! We had a deer walk into our Cathedral, walk up the main Isle, and go out the side door. The deer was caught on security camera while the organist was practicing. So Fr B can think on that.

Came here for Orwell but now I’m wondering about the legality of sending live amphibious creatures through the mail..seems rather cruel. I’m sure this green Pope will address it in his next encyclical..
@marvalice34558 ай бұрын
Cold blooded animals can be sent in the mail actually pretty well. They will need specific packaging and labeling, and you'll want it to be rapid delivery, but their low metabolism will mean they can go several days without new food or water.

@@passionate_catholic_human9758 I've seen it done. And it must logically be doable, given I could get bearded dragons in northern Minnesota. I doubt they were sent business class

Interesting. I think Orwell reads very differently before and after 1989. But that may be because of my age. I have always read The Boot, which stomps a human face forever, as a direct quote from the United Front song. I'm pretty sure Orwell and Brecht knew each other, or at least both knew each other's work. However, the verse with the boot only appears in the German version of the song, in the English version mine has turned it into a pistol.
