We began in video 1, with a small batch of misc scrap silver. Chemically digested it in video 2, filtered our solution in video 3, precipitated out the cement silver in 4, and here we melt it into shot. Next in Part 6, we'll run it through a small electrolytic silver cell.to reach levels of over .999 fine pure silver.

You need a stainless steel funnel when putting cement silver in electric furnace it would help from spilling silver powder all over. Just an idea

I am amazed. Of all the ways you could change this metal and the many uses of it yet it is so cheap, that a steak dinner cost more than an oz of silver.

I love the spoon! This is great stuff man, how much work goes into refining silver how I feel the price should be way higher!

Hey Jeff, Watched all 5 videos. Show us a picture of yourself once in awhile. Tell people a little about the scope of your business. This was really interesting.

Jeff try using a canning funnel to put the cemented silver into the crucible. It's a wide mouth funnel with a large open top. You may have to charge the crucible before heating it up. The one I have is made out of aluminum. I'm sure that they can be found made out of better materials.

Yes, pls keep making videos. What is the ratio for your electrolyte? Do you get Pilger crystals with a super saturated electrolyte? How hi do you go on your voltage?

How did you learn to do all this? How long have you been at it? It's interesting and impressive!

just wondering if adding borax here wont help remove unwanted iron oxides? or does it have some other negative reactions? just curious.

You don't want to use borax in a graphite crucible. The real trick here is to limit the exposure to oxygen by keeping the lid closed as much as possible.

The water used to quench the silver during this process…is it distilled water also or can tap water be used?

Tap water is just fine. 😁

I like what I'm seeing good job I kind of reminds me a little of a sreetip presentations vids. He's like a guru in my opinion, but clear defined and explained everything as you did thank you

I found lithic while looking for sreetips videos. In my opinion, they're on equal levels, but lithic tries different approaches, and explains the processes differently. I love sreetips, but I'm loving lithic, too. I'd love to work with both of them.

Jeff i really love you channel brother. I am a a student jewler and i would really love to perhaps learn how to clean my gold and refine it for future projects. Crucible contaminated it .. some are filings but its so contaminated i dont even know what karat it is. Along with the volor not being a nice bright yellow. I truely believe this is a skill i MUST learn and pray you are willing to show me the way🙏🏻 I will Not waste your time i promise. I really want to learn. Thank you for your great content friend. I hope to speak to you 🙏🏻 Jonathan Pearce
