That historical video about AoE II Civs would be so great, I love historical themed videos that are related to a video game !Lithuanians are a big surprise for me, I was really waiting for the Cumans and their steppe lancers and I wasn't paying attention to Lithuanians, but gosh when I first tried them it was a lot of fun to play, I like to play with a booming playstyle, and having these Leitis with +8 attack felt so strong, they were just melting everything in their path ! Keep up that awesome work Spirit, and I'm really looking forward to this historical video type ! :)

This might be the most historically accurate civilization in the entire game: Anti heavy focused cavalry -> Lithuanian resistance to germanic crusaders Realy strong monastery and relic bonus -> later zeal in converting the population Fast infantry and additional defense for towns -> resisting invasions and rapid response over a vast country This is absolute A+ for historic accuracy of a civilization.

FUN FACT! The Leičiai were a Lithuanian military caste responsible for both acting as a standing army and overseeing crafts and industry that supported the military. While prominent in the early medieval era, their prominence declined under the various social reforms of the high middle ages and early renaissance. So popping out a Leitis or two in castle for early pushing, then switching to the knight line for your upgrade buys is not only strategically valid but historically accurate!

Another benefit of the relic bonus: Your opponent is pressured into competing for relics or rushing monks out whether they want to or not (or if they let you have them, you're in a great position), and they are at disadvantage in the relic war because of your faster monk production. Ideally your bonus food can also get you to castle age (& monks) slightly faster

How to play Lithuanians proper : step 1 : build barracks and mill then age-up as fast as possible. step 2 : assign male peasants to wood (priority, for fields), stone (for castles) and gold, and female to food. step 3 : in castle age, grab as many relics as you can. step 4 : create as many Leitis as you can. step 5 : *go full [When the winged hussars arrived] with one opponent at the time* .

An Update since this video was posted: As of June 3rd of 2023, the Lithuanians are now missing Blast furnace, meaning that they have 2 less attack than a generic melee unit of any kind. To compensate a little, they now receive the Winged Hussar instead of the regular Hussar, which has a built in +2 attack over the generic Hussar, making up for lacking Blast furnace. Unfortunately, their Paladins now deal 2 less attack than a generic Paladin, meaning that you need to find at least 2 relics be be evenly matched after all upgrades. This incentivizes use of the Leitis over the Paladin in situations where you were able to secure 2 or less Relics. Their starting +150 food bonus was changes as well. They now get 100 bonus food each time they build a Town Center, but don't worry, this does count your starting Town center as something you just built, so you will still get 100 extra food at the start, but the dark age rush is a bit slower. Lastly, their unique tech, Tower Shields now gives +2 pierce armor, instead of +1, so that's nice.
