Great Video. Thans for all the details and close ups of the inside, it was very helpful. I will be buying one when they are back in stock so it was nice to get a close up before hand.

Excellent information about the inverter, I was able to see the battery consumption of 0.8amp x 53.08v that results in only 42 watts without any load from the inverter, fantastic, thank you

It’s got a very acceptable idle consumption! Manufacturer rates it a 50W! Glad the video was helpful! Take care!

Been kicking this around with limited luck doing research. So glad I found this video. I'll be placing the order as soon as I finish typing this. Can't beat the $467 price going on now. I have a Ryobi 48V riding mower that I recently converted to 4 x 100Ah LiFePO4's. The factory charger was for lead acid. Not only will I be able to charge the lithium with this, but it will also be a good power backup for home. Also, the battery bank in the Ryobi is on a rack that easily pulls out, so it can be throw in the back of my tow vehicle for extra RV power. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Glad you enjoyed! I am breaking this up in a step by step and hopefully easy to follow series. I’ll cover everything you need for this or similar build. If I overlooked something you need more information on just let me know. I’m doing the 12V and 48V builds to try and help folks get a reliable backup power source. Pros and cons to each system. After Helene I think many found a weak spot in their emergency preparedness plans. Days and for some weeks without electricity was not very fun… especially when gasoline was unavailable for generators! Thanks for your feedback, glad to have you onboard!

@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD That is exactly my case with Hurricane Milton in Florida. No fuel for days and generators need fuel. I purchased the same controller and battery you are using in this project. I am still trying to determine which Solar panels would be the best and I plan to have this as a portable solar generator to start.
@rallyraul1Ай бұрын
As long as you PV solar input stays within 65v-115v you will be ok. Santan solar has good deals on used panels 20 cents a watt is a good deal0@@swags6691

I don't understand why so many of these only allow 145-150 Voc solar input. That means having to run several parallel strings of panels, which means extra wiring, connectors, circuit protection, etc. Doesn't make sense to me.

Add some panels and wire and it’s a capable and efficient small system. IMHO way better than a portable power station!

@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEADАй бұрын
Checked this for you. If the LiTime is powered by the grid it does not pass through unless powered up from the on/off switch. The display will power up with grid presence but the output relays are N.O. contacts and remain this way until powered ON by the user switch. Hope this helps you!
@Tech4TenАй бұрын
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD this doesn't help thanks. I have a PowMr inverter that the inverter doesn't have to be on when getting grid power (per manual). So I can save myself some of the inverter idle power consumption. I'm going to test it out shortly to verify. Thanks again for the info

Great video as I just ordered this inverter a few days ago off amazon along with 2 of their 48V 100AH Li Time batts. I've been using a small 12v solar set up at my storage place for the past 8 years so jumping to 48V is going to be a huge improvement. Started with 6v AGM in series with 800A bank then replaced with 3 12v 200AH Li time only 2 years ago. Have been very happy with the batts but do you think I should have gone with our used another brand? The two Li time I just ordered are not the rack type but the big flat type, a mistake in your opinion? Are you planning to use full time in your camper or home? Curious where you are located, you sound Southern ;)...I'm in East TN?
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD29 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video! I’m sure you will like the inverter! You already have some experience which is always a great thing! LiTime makes great batteries so I think you made a solid choice. I’m not sure what you mean about flat type batteries? Did you order 48V or 51.2V there is 15 cells in the 48V and 16 cells in 51.2V which is the standard for “48V” lifepo4 installation. There are 4 cells in a 12.8 lifepo4 battery for example. (4cellsx4batts=16cell) I had a video on this several weeks ago. 51.2V 16S batteries are the preferred option. Hope this helps, let me know which one you got.

Hey i got the 24v 3000w version. I have a question. With the power switch in the off position, i still get AC out at 124v. With the switch on. All i see on the screen is the line connected to the light bulb as in AC load. Is it supposed to turn off current in the off?
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD21 күн бұрын
Mine has 0V on the AC out terminals with the switch OFF. This is with GRID 120V supplied. When the switch is ON the GRID 120V passes through supplying power to loads and charges battery. I had another viewer that asked me to test this as well. Wonder if the 24V has ability to pass through like some other brands on the market? My 48V one definitely does not!
@supersh0cker18821 күн бұрын
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD it does have pass through. But I assume when power switch is off the whole system would be off and safe to handle
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD20 күн бұрын
Thank you for confirming this about the 24V model! Interesting that this was included on 24 but not on the 48. I prefer how mine works with no output at all with the switch off. Another viewer wanted this feature to pass through loads and save the idle consumption.

The manual says the unit is not capable of parallel operation so no 120/240 with the current configuration. The hardware/boards look very similar to a unit that is parallel capable. I have emailed LiTime with this question!

Not for the US market currently. I’m not sure of the offerings if outside of US. The inverter does include a special programming feature to work with external transformers! Manufacturers such as LiTime often look to video comment sections such as this to obtain feedback and wants/needs from the end users. Maybe if enough interest they will offer more options for upcoming products!
