I majored in film and RTV - this film came out when I was 8, it is still one of my favorite films today - the 1st time and American film showed the humanity and depth of the American Indians, the diversity of characters even though he played the same man, 7 different scopes or personalities of Jacks life, Hoffman was and is one of the top 5 actors of all time and this film shows it. - GREAT FILM!

When this film first came out it created an absolute sensation. 54 years later, any new viewer will understand. It was perfect in every possible way.
