This song... just WOW. I had to see a counselor because, after nearly 27 years of sugar-coating life with a narcissistic & cheating husband, all I could do was cry. Nearly four years divorced, I can watch this without shedding a tear & relay counsel to any female out there who needs to hear it: HIS ISSUES ARE NOT YOUR FAULT. Stop taking accountability for them; & start hanging around people who will help you grow a pair. I had to hear it, like so ~ And you are stronger than you realize...

I’m cómbense there are tons of good Men out there living such hell and putting up in favor of their kids, family and because the really meant it they the sworn “for better or for worse”, only thing is that we don’t cry and complain and we get no sympathy for Exposing this truth.

The thing I love so much about this video is that it doesn't just show the regular, other single woman. It shows the husband that is going through the same thing with his wife cheating on him. One of the rare instances lately to show there are women doing this to husbands too. It hurts just as bad. My best friend, that was married, did this to me with my EX. I found the love of my life now with my true soul mate for 24 years now. Guys and gals... there is never a good excuse for cheating. But always a good reason to find the one that loves you the way you love them.

A good reminder to me how very blessed I am, being like married to my best friend for nearly 30yrs. We've been thru so much together- loss of parents, and the worst was the loss of our only child we made together. That breaks up alot of marriages- but by the Grace of God-- it only brought us even closer. That, and the blessing of his son, who could be his identical twin, keeps us going. They're SO much alike, sometimes its almost eerie... but def amazing, and brings joy & laughter back into our lives. Dont know how we'd get thru it all, without him, and without our faith. We all take life for granted so often, we don't even realize it.....boy did we learn the hardest way. Guarantee you, we don't take a single moment for granted ever again. We know life can be going just great- then WHAM!!! Something you never expected would happen in your own family becomes your tragedy, and then its too late & the world, your life is changed forever. I pray people really listen and take my advice- enjoy EVERY moment with your loved ones, and tell them as often as you can how much they mean to you & how much you love them. DON'T wait til its too late-- because gone really means GONE FOREVER. And its the hardest thing you'll ever face, ESPECIALLY if God Forbid, its your child. So love them, spend time with them, and do not take them for granted EVER. In Memory of Jordan ♡ 1992-2013 ♡ Jordan, Your Momma & Dad will NEVER GET OVER YOU. And we'll always share as many stories, memories & pictures with your adorable, sweet son-- who's just like you in soo many ways, its crazy. We like to believe God did that on purpose, so we'd have the very best part of you living on thru him. Until the glorious day we are reunited, we'll be missing you always & forever. 🧡 #forever21 #jtbneverforgotten #StopSuicide #YouMatter #NothingIsWorthYourLIFE #SuicideIsNEVERTheAnswer. Loving & Missing You Always & Forever....❤🤍💙💜💛🧡❤🖤💚

I hope you knows just how truly devoted I was to him and loved him and missed him. I can’t imagine moving on someone else. I don’t know maybe one day. But thank you so much for this song. @@carie7666 it's difficult in those situations. Because you want your child to grow up in a family...instead of a broken home. To Doat over them and wait on them hand and foot but yet what it comes down to IS they Love and Doat over themselves! My Love has left this world and gone to another. . .and although it has been some years! This Video certainly allowed those hurtful feelings. . . my broken heart to awaken my emotions. This video and everything about it. . .the words to this song? Little Big Town, You have another hit. As the others said. . .Love the Yellow. It makes us think Happiness. I have painted my face and put on a smile. AND went to Social Gatherings with my late husband, When he was behaving as a single man. When you have children. . .You Must "Sugar Coat" it. A Great ending when she sat before him, As he believes he is in charge?😁 He is the one in control. . .Hiding his Lies from her! When there she is sitting before him ,In all her beauty and Class (because she maintained her dignity and selfrespect) and she is Wearing the Necklace! She IS the Rare Precious Jewel!!$ Little Big Town you Rock!

This song and video are top quality; maybe award-winning. The video is so accurate with everything from the 1960s. One catch: the camera at 1:43 (being used by the neighbor lady to take a photo of her lover to keep with her) would have been one of the couple's most valuable possessions, so would have been in a leather case with a shoulder strap, and she wouldn't have looked down at the camera's back (no screen) but would've used her thumb to advance the film to the next picture.

I think of my mother. The man is always right. This song and "Daughters" remind me that we women have come a long way. Our mothers stay because they were the peacemakers who made the marrige work. Was it worth it?

Let’s talk about women being taught to wear these coats........ from a young age. Taught to never show any real emotions and accept whatever somebody give us even when we know it’s not what we deserve ......

Amen to that. I love the line about it being passed down from her mother. Fathers pass down that to sons too. I watched my EX do this with my best friend. I love how the video shows the man going through the same thing the other wife is going through too.

Is yellow supposed to be contradictory to what everyone’s feeling? Yellow typically signifies happiness. It’s how she sugarcoats everything: happy life, perfect marriage, perfect house and kids, happy house wife. Everything is yellow. Everything is perfect and happy. But that’s not the case deep down and behind closed curtains.

Since Antiquity, roses have been associated with feelings. A red rose means "I love you", but a yellow rose stands for jealousy and infidelity. ... In the language of flowers,

Yellow is the color of the lemonade, which is a bitter undrinkable liquid until the sugar coat is added in abundance, then it's tolerable and serves its purpose.

A lot of women wear those coats, the longer you wear it, the heavier it gets.

I can relate to this song. After 12 years of marriage and he decided he wanted my ex friend instead of me but she wasn't the first one , she was just the one that wanted him to leave me and be with her and he did. It's been over 18 years now and I'm about to get married next year to an amazing man that has forever changed my life and my heart!

Notice the necklace she finds in the pocket at 2:00 either is intended for the mistress or already is hers (it even matches the mistresses turqoise jewellery). Somehow the wife knows its not for herself... But then notice how she is wearing it at the end, playing with it to make it obvious, and that’s what makes the husband realise she knows it 3:23. A power move showing him she is not weak. Before I noticed this I thought the video had a sad ending, that she was trapped in this life, but once I noticed the necklace in a way it show us the beginning of her taking control back from him. Very powerful.

I turn the bathroom light on To take my make up off Look at myself in the eye I wonder why I wear it anyway Another car drives by I wonder where you are The kids are all in bed And everything but you is in its place From the street view lookin' in It's pretty as a picture Our home sweet home Sometimes I wish I liked drinkin' Sometimes I wish I liked pills Wish I could sleep with a stranger But someone like me never will Sometimes I hardly can stand it I just smile with a lump in my throat Sometimes I wish I could bear it Didn't have to wear this sugar coat ******************* Passed down from my mom She worried so well She rested on my shoulders Says it's cold out there, anything Would I recognize myself with anybody else? If I took the damn thing off and burned it Sometimes I wish I liked drinkin' Sometimes I wish I liked pills Wish I could sleep with a stranger But someone like me never will +++++++++++++ Sometimes I hardly can stand it I just smile with a lump in my throat Sometimes I wish I could bear it Didn't have to wear this sugar coat Oh, this damn sugar coat In one of these nights I'll meet you in the driveway And tell you to go to hell, Go to hell Sometimes I wish I liked drinkin' Sometimes I wish I liked pills Wish I could sleep with a stranger But someone like me never will Sometimes I hardly can't stand it I just smile with a lump in my throat Sometimes I wish I could bury it Didn't have to wear this sugar coat This damn sugar coat Oh, this sugar coat This damn sugar coat.....
