Fly incredibly low and as fast as you can using the terrain for cover, and then use all that momentum to pop-up above the incline point of MGs when you're close. (IFVs and SPAAs are still your nemesis though). it's especially easy to do in MD-500s and MBO 105s given their speed and agility.

tip for those that don't know, when you are doing a j hook, you can just drop collective all the way to 0 mid turn and back up to 100 or 50 once you've turned on target. dropping the collective makes you stop a lot faster and mid turn you don't actually go down really when done right.
