Nice review! I really like LB Chapter 8. I think it is as close to the Bookers Rye as I’ll ever get.

Haha hey bookers rye is doing another batch I think in 2026 timeframe

That Jacob's well is definitely one of my top bourbons for this year.

Nice review BB and shoutout. I think LB Chapter 8 is fantastic. The Infinite gets better with each sip. Very enjoyable for me. Probably not worth $200, but very good! 🥃

Thanks again Dave for the samples! And yeah I really enjoyed the infinite as well as the chapter 8 I think if chapter 8 wouldn’t have been so good it would have made the infinite a better value but beam knocked it out of the park on chapter 8

Great bottles BB. LB8 is unique and complex, Grabbed one at Costco this year for 130. Don’t know if Infinite is worth 200. Prob put the $ towards another Hardin creek release. Finally found a Jacobs well 211, been searching forever. It will be a special occasion crack.

Congrats on the JW 211 its a special bottle! Yeah LB Chapter 8 is one of my faves this year. Infinite is good but a little spendy

Thank you for the honest review! I'm relatively new to Booker's and Little Book and have Booker's 2024 01 and 03 and also 2023 02 with Little Book Chapter 7. My personal favorite is Booker's 2024 03 with 2024 01 edging-out Little Book Ch.7. Based on your review, I can see getting LB Ch.8, as it is available for about $170 vs. the $180 I paid for Ch.7. I've not seen the Infinity release yet in my area.
@bourbonbill6 күн бұрын
You are welcome. I haven’t tried any of the 2024 bookers regular releases. If you like rye then little book chapter 8 is fantastic but it’s not like the other bookers you mentioned

Hope to some day get a taste of the 211. Liquor store sent me an advertisement that Widow Jane *20* is available. Finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. I don't know what MSRP is but they're asking $550!
@bourbonbill6 күн бұрын
Yeah hard pass it’s way over priced even at msrp

Got a LB Infinite at Costco for 160 and traded for a Ch 8 that totaled around 130 out of pocket. Trying to find a sample to figure out whether to open them or flip for something else I’ve been after.
@bourbonbill6 күн бұрын
It’s worth opening for 130 for sure

I tried little book infinite at a knob creek tasting and it was amazing. It was the only little book there but we compared it to a bookers, a bakers and a store pick knob creek bourbon. I bought the store pick though.
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
Hahah and that’s the conundrum the dang store picks of KC are sometimes real bangers

Bourbon bill, the professor, hitting us with the god’s honest truth once again! I tried the chapter 8 the other week and got a strong spearmint from the rye. It was a good rye, but i tend to prefer the sweeter ryes opposed to the herbal notes. Just picked up my infinite this morning, and excited to try it out.

Yes, Jim Beam should disclose the percentage of the blended whiskey's. Great review.
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
Agreed! They know it just print it on the neck tag

I knew you’d like Chapter 8, flavors keep evolving with each sip. Probably the most complex Beam I’ve had. I found the Infinite to be alittle flat on flavors especially compared to the Bookers Reserves
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
I haven’t tried bookers reserves so can’t comment on that but yeah chapter 8 has a lot of flavor and I dig it. I think infinite is really good but it is more simple than chapter 8

Still can't find the Hardin's Creek Jacob's Well Batch 2 anywhere, or any Hardin's Creek. Is that bottle available nation wide or only in select states?
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
It was only select states for example PA didn’t get any I think closest was DC to us
@JordanVanderLaan7 күн бұрын
Freddie said the proportions were about even on the infinite, so around half is over 14 yrs.
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
Interesting it did taste very good so I figured it had a good bit of the older stuff in it but didn’t love the price on it when Jacob’s well was cheaper and better and little book 8 was equally as good for less I think $150 would have been right for the infinite
@3800fanatic7 күн бұрын
Haha I was laughing out loud at this one about the percentages of the blend and the note

Bourbon Bill starting us off with small penises and mashbill transparency anger. That's why I'm a f**king Patreon. Where else can you get this content?!? Great review and more money saved for me. I'm wondering how much better that Little Book 8 is comapred to KC 10 Rye at half the price.
@bourbonbill6 күн бұрын
Haha I try to give the best content lol and I need to compare it to KC10 haven’t done that yet

Little Book 8 had a Booker Rye vibe for me, kind of a poor man's Booker's Rye.
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
Yeah I get that for sure it’s likely partially reject barrels from the next bookers rye due out in 2026 I believe

A friend of mine tried the Infinite at a tasting bar and hated it. He said it was like a dirty peanut shell. I passed on it at $200. Great review as usual.
@bourbonbill7 күн бұрын
Haha I didn’t get that on it I really enjoyed it but I just can’t recommend it as a good value when little book chapter 8 is a banger for $50 less
