I ended up there in high school once, by which point my tastes had matured and I was eating Round Table on a regular basis, so I know it’s not that I didn’t know any better. It’s never been the world’s greatest pizza, but we were NOT eating this cardboard with tomato-flavored jam on it that they dare to call pizza now.

Here's some LC prices for comparison against that $22 Medium garbage from CC. All of these prices are for the Large size. Classic Pepperoni $7.29. ExtraMostBestest Pepp (so double the pepp of the classic pepp pizza) $8.29. 3 Meat Treat $10.99. Deep Dish Pepp $11.99. Old World Classic Pepp (so the "cupped" kind of Pepp, and it's like triple the amount compared to the classic pepp pizza) $12.99. 5 Meat Feast $14.99. Deep Dish 3 Meat $14.99. I mean...c'mon. Is LC pizza great? No. But get it fresh, bring it home, pop it into a warm oven for 5 minutes to cook it a little more (because it's almost always slightly undercooked which is partially why it's floppy, and you're getting a decent, inexpensive pizza that is lightyears better than that $22 trash.

Circa 1999, I got my first job at 16 at chuck e cheese and to this day, it was one of my favorite jobs just for the fact that it was never boring and I am a literal child. Each shift we received a coupon for a free kid size 🍕 and a coworker of mine showed me how good pepperoni + pineapple were together. The pizza there is only good when you have to be there for a birthday and you don't have the pay for the entire thing. Back in the day, they would tell us to toss the mistakes and we would put them back on the dryer and take turns going back to eat. Cutting the pizza with the machete made you feel very powerful but the chuck, not so much...birthday host was the best gig. My friend Brice worked there after I left and he was supposed to be in charge of the salad bar and instead went into dry storage and took naps in the boxes 😆 picturing it still makes me laugh. He got canned for that eventually when people were pissy about their ranch running out.
