Wonderful painting Jane. I love all of your work. I'm going to try this, but I think what I will do on the back also is use a piece of foam board to enclose it completely to hold everything in. Maybe use velcro to attach it that way you can still access the battery pack. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Hi Jane! This was really cute! I just bought a canvas lighted like this for Halloween! I wanted to tell you it is done like yours but on top of the back of the canvas they placed a piece of material to cover the workings of the lights. It’s a light cotton that appears to be painted over with a jell or something similar. I was going to get a Christmas one of an Angel but you have inspired me to try it myself! Thank you!!🎄👏👏🎨😍

I just finished this and LOVE IT!!! Would you please tell me where you purchased your lights? Only one I could find were 20 bulbs so I cut it in half. The way it was made this didn't hurt anything. Other problem I have is the led clear lights I bought are so bright. Very tiny but bright. Can you tell me more about your lights please? It was scary to punch the holes in a painting that looks so cute!!!! But worth it!!! Thanks !!!!

Literally any color of blue will work! Actually, I've seen this background done in lots of different colors, so get super creative and do whatever strikes your fancy :D

Please answer this If you buy a canvas, and you finished painting, can you reuse that canvas, like is there more then 1 layer to paint on, on 1 canvas, or do you have to buy a whole new canvas for a new painting

I paint over canvases time and time again! Some of my canvases have been painted over so many times that they feel like leather, lol. Just throw down a layer of gesso or even black or white paint, and you're good to go!
