This looks simple- but haha!, you cannot just slap dash through. Oh no! In true Jane style, there are so many details, twists and turns! This is why Jane’s paintings are my favorites. You must pay attention to every detail. This is not to say they are too hard too attempt, it is to say she will expand your skills every time. Her teaching is marvelous.

I have no heat right now and I’m painting in my little art room with frozen hands and I’ve just snapped my finger closed in a paint cap. That's a cool,way to use matte medium. I always have blended it into the paint before putting it on brush -- your technique makes a lot more sense and gives better control over the blending!

Jane, love your tutorials, your very patient and caring in your presentations. I have a very great difficulty painting thin lines like on the boards and the cracks within them, can you give me some helpful advice? I thought if I laid the canvas down or even drew line with a black pencil, that it would help but neither did. I am not shaky otherwise.

What if you put the 'snowflakes" on after you have everything done, like the boughs and the ornaments? Seems like doing them first super-imposes everything else on top of them.

She said the effect was “frozen iciness” stuck on the fence not actual snow coming down. But you could do at the end if you want fresh snow.
