we watched this movie in class once to see the Normandy battle scene, my professor told us that veterans had also viewed it and said it was quite accurate to what had happened that day.

All reports that exist point out that the Film clearly had 90 percent wrong. Even the bunker didnt exist like portrayed
@Sapphiregamer8605 Жыл бұрын
@@Goaner89that’s false, everything here is accurate, many veterans said the only thing inaccurate in the WHOLE MOVIE was the bullets hitting the soldiers underwater, in words that your puny little brain could actually understand, *you’re wrong*
@Goaner89 Жыл бұрын
@@Sapphiregamer8605 Educate yourself. The landing crafts werent even accurate, the Rangers were dropped off by the royal navy. The first wave landed while low tide, they didnt get shot by the MG 42s immediatly, the germans waited till they were knee deep and still together. The bunkers Shown were Observation points for Artillerie and NO MG positions. The mine traps are placed wrong, nothing would go off... Theres SO much, I wont look it up now. I dont care what Veterans say, I care about what Was actually writen down exactly that day and the defensive measures the Wehrmacht haf

@@Sapphiregamer8605 There were a few other minor mistakes, but yeah, it's very accurate.

@@Goaner89 bro the bunkers are literally still over there tf u mean. Veterans left the theatre saying the D-Day scene was so accurate that only the smell was missing.

I’d just like to put out that not only did American and British soldiers see hell that day, but Germans as well. Many were only 15 or 16. They also knew they would lose because they could see thousands of ships and soldiers coming their way.
