It’s definitely why I’m glad Mr. Mayor got a second season. He very much steals every single scene and he gets heaps of praise from viewers to his veteran costars. With all his other shows ending/having ended, this is a great spot for him.

Agree 100%. You hardly ever see comments about him, but he’s hilarious & no-miss - every sketch he was in was truly better for it. I think maybe he’s less talked about bc he had less of his own persona (as himself) than some of his peers

The kid's reactions make sense, considering DeNiro's role in the Fockers movies -- as an ongoing antagonist to Greg Focker (Stiller's character). The kid is transferring his feelings about the character to the actor. Kind of like small children criticizing the actress Margaret Hamilton for "being mean to Dorothy". Or...grown adults lashing out at Anna Gunn because they dislike Skylar White!

I'm sure ironically Moynihan asked for his autograph in real life. But just throwing this out there but I remember reading multiple online interviews with former costars that Deniro is an actor they enjoyed working with. He would assist actors and actresses and especially kids that are nervous while filming a show or movie.
