This little girl is not happy with her current mommy, so she is asking for a new one. She suggests her auntie as the new matriarch but then is left astonished by the fact that she can't call her mum mum anymore and has to call her Michelle.

Don't be absurd! The child is an age when they being difficult and testing boundaries because it's about having a separate identity. They were supposed to be going somewhere and the child for whatever reason didn't want to go earlier. So she threw a tantrum and the mother wasn't having it. The child's face is puffy just like when you've been crying. Her voice is also a little hoarse just like when yo've been crying. she was very immersed in her pain but she had reached an immoveable force: if her mother lets her get her way with everything, she will grow up spoiled and unable to cooperate. So the mum says no. The child was testing the situation and backed down eventually when she realised what giving up her mother might actually mean. So when her mother, who speaks throughout in a very kind tone of voice, not at all mocking or mean, when her mother finally asked after she went on this discovery of what giving up her mother might mean...are you ready to go now? It's a happy, reconciled and relived child that says" OK MOMMY".

@@deborahcurtis1385 I re-watched the video with your take in mind, and I still stand by my comment. I just can't see a child of that age asking for a new mommy as a manipulation tactic. If she had been 8 years old, then that's a different story, but for a child so young to be asking for a new mama is telling, IMHO. It is quite possible to hold a limit with a child without being harsh or mean about it. I think if the mother held to the limit in a firm but kind way, her daughter would not have asked for a new mom. Yes, the mother spoke kindly after the fact in this clip, but this could be because when her daughter asked for a new mom it woke her up to the fact that she was being mean. Also, I think you give too much credit to the mother for not speaking in a mocking or mean way. There is simply no excuse to ever speak to children in a mocking or mean way.
