I had to relocate two of my Pieris this fall bcz they were in too much sun & wasn’t happy. Hopefully they will bounce back in Spring. I planted them 2yrs ago & they are still small. Not sure of the variety since it didn’t have a tag. They bloom in Spring.

I have the opposite. The Little Heath should be smaller but it grows quicker than I would like. My plan was to re-pot this year to get it out from a narrow-mouth container. Did not get around to - will try next year! Are the ones you relocated in ground or in pots. If in ground, are the roots extensive? I have a stem cutting from Little Heath. Not sure to keep in pot or plant in ground. Thanks in advance!

Have you noticed any blooms from it this spring?

Good question! I have not checked yet but I do not expect much given how late and how hard I pruned. I likely have pruned off this Spring’s blooms. If there were any, that would be wonderful.

@@GardenNotes I see. I was just curious coz I have 4 of these in ground and they've never bloomed for me. Last year it shot out two rounds of new growth for some reason but not a single bloom this year, again 🥺

@@allanreginald That’s interesting! I will keep an eye and let you know. For my other Pieris, it is blooming where I did not prune back. Do you refer to Little Heath in particular?

@@GardenNotes yes I was talking about Little Heaths in general. I have 4 to line a part sun area. I have another pieris called Cupido at a diff spot but that produces blooms albeit inconsistent 😑 maybe I need to fertilize..

@@allanreginald I guess you did not prune hard late in the season. I will keep an eye and let you know 😊
