This evergreen shrub has been limbed up to give a vertical form for a number of years. For the last few, I have been "cloud" pruning it for a different look. Other practical reasons are allowing air and light for itself and its surrounding plants (there are plenty). For its vigorous growth habit, "clouds" do not stay. I am quite ok with that as long as it is not a simple round ball. This is Part 1 of 2
