After more than 5 years of watching this channel I still find it to be THE BEST small engine tinkering channel on YT. I especially love the motorised self made bikes, a testament of creativity and intelligent design. I learned a lot of valuable things here, so thank you very very much for all that and all good wishes to you for the future ! Personally I don't care for higher resolution, or better audio quality, I still would have learned and enjoyed them things in 720p. So thanks again for not advertising us off topic crappy video games on the way, that really really rocks ! ;)

Yep, the 720p is plenty for most folks, and 1080 is pretty easy to do on a budget. I have a couple 3-chip Panasonic cameras that do 1080-60p, ten years ago when new they were roughly $1000. They can be found on eBay now for $100-300.

Always wished I had one of those. Used to have several sand pits around town where I could have used it. Was a common thing to have open, public access sand pits in the early 1960's when I was a kid. Long gone now. Filled in & leveled off for housing. One of the things that was awesome about being a kid at that time was, the freedom to goof around. If you broke your arm, or something like that, you just took care of it & didn't file a lawsuit. Common sense USED TO rule the day. Once.

I seriously doubt Darren has to worry about any of his subs getting bored by his channel content. For me, he could rebuild a carb every episode and I'd still watch. I do like how he changes up on projects tho. Most likely swapping over to another one mid project while waiting for parts and other items he needs to show up. 1 hour episodes are a treat. It's his wit and self depreciating humor that keeps me entertained. Plus the way he talks to us as tho we're actually there in person. I find myself almost reaching out when he mentions having us hold or move something.

The hand cleaner and bolts in the tank reminded me of an awesome tip: You can take GoJo orange hand cleanser and coat a rusty spot on chrome or shiny steel; you then take aluminum foil and use either strips or a ball of it as a scrubber. The Gojo with it's light abrasive acts as the perfect rust remover and polishing agent, the aluminum is softer than the steel and supercharges the rust removal and polishing with it's interaction with other ingredients in the orange soap... I took the rustiest rims and other chrome(ish) parts= they came out looking perfect, rust even is removed from pitted areas.

Part of that is a chemical reaction. I found that out by accident while cleaning some aluminum drinking cups. I had bleach in the aluminum cup and put a stainless steel steak knife in the cup to soak and a chemical reaction took place and the stainless steel knife just slipped right through the bottom of the aluminum cup. One of the most unusual things I've ever accidentally discovered.

I then worked as a cleanup/stock shelves kid (13 years old) and they let me have a frame, wheels and big box with engine and parts for two months work. It was a Harley 175cc Bobcat. I put it together after rebuilding the engine, and it was my bike of choice for a year till I worked long enough (3 jobs) to afford a brand new in the crate (wood crates in ’65) 883 Sportster. Awesome content as always..and there is much value in what you share. When you touched on the KZbin projects and moreover the filming of projects it totally made since that you needed to keep the views up...great insight to anyone thinking hey let me grab a camera and be a content maker..there is way more to it. But you're still one of my favorite sites and have always enjoyed every one of your videos.😊👍🇺🇸🔧 On a side note I had to run into my local Home Depot the other day and as I was leaving passed right by a Ford Econoline like the one you have fully restored in a beautiful kinda seafoam green and white😊👍

It's understandable you don't want to bore people and kill the channel but what ever you bring us it's always fun to watch. That bike is coming out very nice great job.

Thank you for the insight on the youtube stuff. Health care coverage alone can kill ya. I love spending Sundays watching your videos while sipping good coffee. The value for me in all of this is learning from you. I will continue to support your channel even if you show us how to fold paper.😅😅😅 Thank you, and keep doing what you do best.

Great job with this ST90! I had a SL70 and still have a CT70. This ST90 looks like a hybrid of the two.

Love the old bike videos. That’s what brought me to this channel. Well done Mustie.

I use a torch tip cleaner to clean jets, they’re cheap and works on all sizes. Works better than a smooth wire. Ps… where’s the fake Lamborghini?

Most of us would have no issue if you did a "Raid Shadow Legends" ad. It's mostly a meme and if you can make some extra cash I'd say go for it. It would be hilarious seeing you do a mobile game ad!

Uh...cameras, content, ads...don't change a thing. I'm not even a mechanic and this channel is easily in my top 3. We're roughly the same age, but you remind me of my Dad. I appreciate that more than you know. I live in CT and I'm seriously fighting the inappropriate and invasive urge to take a trip up the ugly 95 just to shake your hand and say thanks. So...thanks, Mustie. You're videos make my week.

Great videos. Your knowledge and personality make your presentation so interesting! Back in the '70s I had a Yamaha 1972 60cc Mini Enduro and my best friend had a Honda 90cc 3-speed just about like this one. My other best friend had a Yamaha 125cc. My mini was like his mini-me-enduro. We drove my mother and the neighbors crazy with all the cool engine noise and the major dust clouds. Those were the days.

About the cameras, Mustie, how about mounting a clear plexiglass panel or something in front of it, for protection? Doesn't sound viable for when you're holding it, but I think it would help, at least when the camera is on the tripod.
