I always adored Caroline Ingalls and that was 100% because of Karen Grassle’s portrayal. Wasn’t she the absolute best!!❤PS: I will never forget the episode when Caroline’s leg was infected. I was probably 8-9 yrs old and i remember being so upset. lol. What a relief when she showed up the following week nice & healthy! ❤lol.

"Little House on the Prairie"❤ is loved around the world! in Italy there is a TV channel where they broadcast it every day, my 89 year old mother and I watch it together, even before that I watched it with my grandmother, I think it's one of the best series they've ever made! 😊I grew up watching her and she left me excellent teachings, values, those that today's world misses so much!❤

I've always enjoyed Karen Grassle's portrayal of the beautiful and empathetic Caroline "Ma" Ingalls on the show, regardless of the storyline. Truthfully, the episode in which Caroline discovers the whereabouts of her mother's passing still affects me and Ms. Grassle's powerful portrayal of a grieving daughter lends a great deal of believability to the role, I believe. And I really appreciate the look of drive and determination on Caroline's face at 0:40!

That is so true about Patricia Neal's episode, I love this episode. I remember watching this as a child. Patricia Neal was a great actress. I heard that Michael Landon wanted her specifically and waited for her after recovering from a stroke.

Thank you! These are fun to watch. They were basically my life growing up. We lived way out in the country in Wisconsin. No neighbors, no parents around… We had one maybe two channels on the television. In retrospect, it was a very creative, free childhood. But, a Little House on the Prairie was definitely one of my highlights!

My connection to my birth mother: the older 3 siblings called her Ma because of Little House. So now, I can too and my adoptive and birth families know my reference is her. So though my birth family's Ma passed before we truly "met", Ma Ingalls is a common denominator for me and my birth mother. 😊
