We stayed at that site a few years back and caught bass and walleye right off the tall bank with leeches and slip bobbers. Didn't have much luck fishing on the lake. Enjoying your video.

I should have tried bobber fishing from camp but never did. Thanks for watching 👍 It was a very nice campsite

I did the same trip in 1981. Greeted by the take-off of a great blue heron around a bend paddling in. Camped for a few days on an island in Shell Lake (freshwater clams around it), heard a moose swim to the island. Visited Devil's Cascade alone one early morning and was spooked, felt as if I were being watched. (No bear spray back then.) Saw snapping turtles sunning on rocks. Leaving up the Little Indian Sioux into a terrific headwind, I got windburn. Didn't want to leave that beautiful place! Check out Lost Lakes videos for great camping/canoeing/fishing tips. Excellent in every way.

We just left Lynx yesterday morning stayed one camp over. We waded through that portage it was waist deep. Did a big loop 24 portages, 22 lakes, 2 rivers, 3 creeks, 5 camps, 7 days. Probably post a video next week.

I always enjoy watching your adventures. I missed this one some how. You've definitely got the walleye fishing down to a science. I also had canoe trip with a buddy a week ago, but did not film it. We went to the South Arm of Knife. Tring to schedule another BWCA trip before Lake Trout season end on Oct. A solo trip I hope to film and have the camera work this time. Great Video, Can't wait for the next one. Mik

Thanks again. I hope you get another trip in before season closes. You ever get your Go Pro issue worked out? I still have a trip I can’t edit and just now got back from another 🤞

@@CommonManCamps-dz6ur I never was able to transfer the video from the Go Pro to my Laptop. Therefore a second trip is a must.

My clips look fine on my laptop and when I preview them in my editing software. Then when I move clip to time line the video changed to an old trip but the audio is right. Haven’t had time or patience to figure it out yet. Hope you get to go and get it on video

The portages next to the rivers are so beautiful! Amazing how you didn’t fall or stumble on the portage covered in water!

Looking at MNDNR test nettings on Lynx, I would not focus my efforts in fishing for bass or walleyes.
@CommonManCamps-dz6ur27 күн бұрын
I guess I never looked at that lake. I thought I heard it was a good walleye lake. I’ll check it out thanks

@@CommonManCamps-dz6ur The studies are not perfect, but I would say they are representative of what's in there. SMBs are particularly hard to net in studies.
