Herr Hermit, been appreciating your cinematography and tripping style for the better part of a year. As life progresses, I realize that my social selectiveness and increasing comfort and joy in being alone will necessitate going solo into this country. This upcoming spring I've planned 12 days from Kawishiwi but will budget 16. Thanks for the inspiration and all the work you put into these videos.

Just started watching your video's yesterday and have watched three so far. Very inspiring and tasteful. I've been canoeing many years but I've picked up multiple new tricks from you such as the way you hold the saw (safety first!) and splitting with a knife. I also use the littlbug and I think putting it in a steel pan is a great idea! So much appreciate the extra effort with the passing shots-camera retrieval and all.

Fabulous video, great photography. I very much enjoyed watching. While I’ve done more than 40 canoe trips in the BWCA, Quetico, Caribou Woodlands, etc. your videos have motivated me to get up and get started earlier in the morning. That’s my goal on a 13 day solo trip in a couple weeks. Thanks!

Another great Video. How were the water levels for that time of the year. Were beaver dams a issue. I'm guessing you had to do a few pull overs. How long did it take you to complete this route. I like this type of trip, small creeks/river twisting winding. I might put this route on the schedule for next year.

@@airmorse Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. The water levels weren’t too bad. Of course on a trip like this you’ll always encounter a few beaver dams. I did go upstream for a considerable portion of this trip but it wasn’t that difficult. I completed this route in six days. You can see the distance I covered each day on the accompanying maps.

A couple of equipment questions, if I may. What brand is your green backpack and paddle? Your canoe seems trimmed out so nicely.

@@woodland8902 No problem, the green backpack is a Shimoda camera pack and the paddle is a Wenonah, don’t ask me what model though, I bought it a long time ago. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the question.

@@darrengladstone3159 Thank you very much. Yeah I’m done with the background music, a big part of the Boundary Waters experience is the silence, so why not emphasize that. Nope, I do not bring any other method for cooking, just the Littlbug.

Excellent video as usual. Was your trip before the big storm/monsoon? I've spent a lot of time camping on or near Lake of the Woods and I've never experienced that continual calm in your video. Depending on the timeline, I wonder if that storm knocked down the pesky critters. Either way, again, awesome videos.

@@RMR-u2b Thanks….Only had a few sprinkles on this trip. I normally get an early start and do the majority of my filming before the wind starts to pick up in the afternoon.
