Everyone is praising the batter, and that is totally understandable. The kid showed more sportsmanship then we see from most adults. But can we also appreciate the pitcher? In a time and in a game where we see professional pitchers sometimes INTENTIONALLY hit batters, here's a pitcher who is so shaken by accidentally hitting a batter that he's brought to tears. Some things are above the game. Both kids are awesome.

I played with the pitcher on a select team he was best player on the team and I didn’t get to play much but he was humble and was always nice I just missed making this team the league combine the east and west side I would have made the east team if they didn’t but still cool to see them play on tv

If only more of those at the professional levels in many sports could conduct themselves like this. I know teams go all out to win, but in the end, seeing an opponent getting hurt accidentally is never a good thing. I can see these 2 youngsters being friends for years to come.

I attended a little league game when i was about the age of 16 when one of the outfielder's tried to catch a flyball and it hit him in his chest, the ambulance performed CPR & did everything that they could do for him but he passed anyway. I'm now in my mid sixties and i can still hear his dad crying, it was the one of the saddest days of my life. I can only imagine how scared that poor kid' was after hitting the batter. Thankfully he's okay. Good job guys.

1,000 percent agree with you! Youth sports is supposed to be about the kids - learning different skills, focus on teamwork and each other's well being, and build a love for the game. Too many parents push too hard, and set bad examples for their kids..thus, making kids give up on the game - their parents ruined their love of the game. That kid who got hit in the head, he is an amazing young man, showed tremendous class, and deserves all the love and attention he will get now...😭😭tears are flowing.

I’m a man’s man, fully aware of my gender, proud of my gender, and this actually made me tear up. Props to those young men, may they have success in all of their endeavors.
