My mother, who died in 2018 at almost 93, lived this lifestyle. What a role mode you are and she was. Many thanks.

Agreed! As I have aged, my reaction to visual clutter as changed. Clutter hidden behind closed cabinets also bothers me 🤣, but have learned to tackle troublesome areas immediately. I like organizing my items whether they live in a highly visible place or behind closed cabinets; just knowing that all is organized goes a long way for my mental health.

Hello Connie, Another well thought out video message. I have been visiting family in Waikiki this week. I love the beauty of Hawaii and so my husband and I usually stay on the more quiet islands. I started to simplify my life a few years ago and this vacation has been a real eye opener. The expensive stores that line the streets of Waikiki and how day after day people shop and keep busy instead of taking the beauty and rest of time away… I am very grateful to have learned so much about minimal living from your coaching. Embracing life is so much more enriching.❤️ thank you for sharing your wisdom with all of us.

I found your channel for the first time tonight. I just want to say that you are so beautiful, your voice is very soothing, and you absolutely do a wonderful job at making this lifestyle look very attractive. I am the stressed out mom who has way too much! I have started the process and am looking forward to the day when I feel a whole lot less stressed!

Good day Connie, I'm new to your channel. I'm learning so much. I've played catchup the past few months. I'm a fast person by nature. Everything has to be done in speed, honestly I'm not sure how I became like this. Probably my busy previous schedule and responsibilities. Your calming way of talking is really impacting me. I'm becoming more mindful and slowing down. I tell myself to slow down, I time my routines as to do less and enjoy each moment. I don't take on more than I can handle anymore. It caused such stress in my life. The shift in my life is doing wonders inside of me. I've adopted many lifestyle changes that I've learnt from you. I also love that your videos are short and very interesting. I love being a minimalist. I've decluttered my home and my life. It feels so good. I feel amazing. I don't want to live with regrets of not becoming a minimalist sooner. I feel now is the right time for me. We've moved to a more quiet neighbourhood, where I can take daily walks and enjoy nature. All the changes started with packing up and I decluttered my clothes by 70%, as well as my home contents. My new lifestyle just fits with my new environment. I love it. Thank you so much. 💗🌿From South Africa

I got a job with a lot more travel and thought I was putting bills on autopay was a temporary thing. That was 9 years ago and I have not looked back. You are so right, it is life changing. I also read a suggestion to just clean off surfaces, another life changing thing. I feel more calm, cleaning is easier/quicker, and now everything has a place an I know that I can’t buy more if I don’t have the “place.” Thanks so much for your video. BTW, do you engage in any sort of dry brushing? You have such a wonderful glow, I’d love to know how you do it!

Trying to find my keys makes me crazy!!!lol. I know what you mean. I love to be organized, but minimalism isn't my style. I love color, and art on the walls, fabrics, displays that make me happy, photos of joyful moments. Doing auto pay on your credit card is not wise. Auto pay for utilities is usually okay as long as you check it. Just a suggestion. ❤

Thanks for sharing Connie, I'm trying my best to simplify and minimalise my life, but I still haven't quite got a handle on the paper clutter. You're right it just seems to accumulate even though I've unsubscribed, stopped junk mail as much as I can and have paperless billing, I'm obviously missing something 🤔😉

Thanks for your video. I already do all of your suggestions except the document scanning. I'm afraid I'll lose them! One request: please don't buy or showcase tomatoes packaged in single-use plastic. It's killing our oceans, marine life & the micro-plastic is now in our bodies too. Please encourage your followers to avoid plastic when possible. Thank you for all you do.

Hi, just found you, loving you videos but please explain why don’t you use a knife to cut your food. I am from England and etiquette of eating is very important to me. Don’t think it really matters but I still would love to know why knives aren’t used xx
@ConnieRiet2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maggie, Thank you for your question. The simplest answer is that I was never taught to use a knife unless cutting meat. In the USA using a knife to eat with is not common. However, after traveling abroad, I am trying to improve my etiquette of eating. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
