I also saw a nice little detail at 'George's house'. Misfortune said she once saw a man floating in the lake, like the dead fish. What if that was a kid? the kid in the picture? Since later in Benjamin's books it said that Black Birds swarm around where Morgo is, and there was a black bird in the picture of the blond hair boy with his dad, and it was by the lake. So what if the boy died , just like Misfortune did, in the lake before he turned into a ghost like being and started playing Morgos's game?

Apparently, a lot of people can't understand what this game truly means. Allow me to clear some things up. Misfortune was dead from the beginning of the game, but her soul was not ready to leave yet. The tracks from the car are already on the road when you start the game. Which explains why her mom won't respond to her at the beginning of the game and keeps drinking wine and smoking cigarettes (struggling to get over the whole situation). You never actually see Misfortune's dad because he was probably arrested or died in the crash. Her father killed her. She was destined to die from the start and you can't do anything to save her or prolong her death. That is just the truth of the matter and we are forced to come to terms with it, though she isn't. Being forced to play Morgo's games, she is led to believe that she is still alive to the very end. A form of torment to her confused soul. When Morgo says "My game is the only thing keeping you alive", he meant her soul, not her physical body. Her physical body was laying on the road, already dead. Her soul was still trapped in his game, only "living" until she realized that she was dead. If he were to tell her that she wasn't alive, she would be forced to accept it as fact, and her soul would be released to his dimension. Mr. Voice says that she is going to die at the beginning of the game. That was the day her soul was ready to leave. Mr. Voice (being the evil) wanted to take her soul but Benjamin was trying to get her soul to the angel of death, where she actually finds eternal happiness. And if we go by the best ending, the only time her mother could finally accept the situation and be happy was once Misfortune finally found the Eternal Happiness. The endings are vastly different. Just because the good ending only adds a single scene, does not mean it doesn't impact the story as much. In the bad ending, Misfortune's mother never takes off her mask. She stays sad and shackled to her false happiness, refusing to come to terms with her daughter's death. In the good ending, she releases herself and allows herself to learn that there is bad in everything but that ultimately, there is also good in everything. She's free from both herself and the life that had imprisoned her. We know that Misfortune never talked about her mother abusing her as her father did. All we know is she smoked, drank, and also told Misfortune you should smile even when you are sad. My theory is that her mother named her Misfortune because she is what kept her with her husband, because she knew she wouldn’t be able to take care of her on her own, and that she can’t leave her with her husband. Both Misfortune and her mother were abused by the father, and both had to pretend nothing was wrong. Her mom did truly love her, and when Misfortune won her eternal happiness in the good ending, she realizes she doesn’t need to hide her abusive relationship with her husband anymore, because he is arrested (or dead) now, and she is happy that her daughter is somewhere better and safer than their household. The game, at its core, is about accepting that death is destined and that there are no exceptions. Some die sooner than others and some refuse to accept their mortality. Its themes promise to you that you can't hide from death behind a false veil of happiness and that you'll only ever be free once you accept your mortality and see the best in everything, ultimately coming to terms with your very existence and creating a balance in your life.

I don't know why (I didn't pay attention lol, but I know he came through a portal first seen as a cut scene when he was painting the ground with paint in symbols) he started rescuing the souls of children from Morgo or otherwise known as Mr. Voice from torture, Fast forward a couple of time and we skip to Misfortune in her room, when before she can listen to us (player and Morgo) he mentions that she shall day on that very day, just after Misfortune left the house *she died* By a car but of course you only see this later on an ending, a car drifted, an ambulance, Misfortune's mom speaking to a cop and... Her corpse, when Misfortune crossed the road the world was seen differently, for example the house where Morgo promised a party has a ghost that can be seen for a brief moment, a kid that Morgo made one of his victims. When Misfortune was falling alongside the "Bird" she fell from possibly one of Morgo's crows? crows she even asked why she didn't break her legs, Because she was dead all along,after she leaves the sewers she found another dead kid, that was the same one that was apparently "missing" also the people never interact with Misfortune, they wear mask not showing their faces, because they can't see The girl, Not even her own mother, which was only been able to "see" what happened later, the mother removing her mask representing the mistakes she made was only able to see when her daughter died, a guilt. (I forgot to mention c'mon how would a ball appear out of nowhere and the slingshot, infernal shovel) the pet cemetery, perhaps the fox dug up the box to keep Misfortune away from The dangers of Morgo fast forward to the park the Guardian of the river may have come to take her to the right place.(again forgot to mention the bird man on the zoo illusions perhaps, the masked men that interacted with Misfortune may be the consequence of paranormal ability? [I'm probably wrong on the illusions and paranormal activity theory]). The "right place I mentioned", the place of spirits. On Benjamin's hut we can see he talking about saving the spirits of children yada yada yada yeah you knew that, that explains why Morgo hates the fox, Jumbling his plans, you may be wondering "why didn't the fox help the girl in the first place?, Because it was too risky, giving away the children and Misfortune was not even dead yet. The close-ending shows the true face of Morgo, a Demon that tortures spirits and went after the girl but was stopped by Benjamin, while on the "new game" scene Morgo tries to do it again without the fox, convincing her and trying to succeed, but failed, tries to do it by force... And fails, then after this the fox takes the girl to her final resting place along with death (Also Hiro shows us about the missing kids, acting as evidence the "eternal happiness" was bait ) *REMEMBER I -MAY- (PROBABLY) -BE- (AM) -WRONG- (RIGHT).
