in Brazil it is very difficult to hear the singers' voices, because the crowd sings very loudly, it is insanely beautiful

I think there's nothing more flattering than when an audience can sing your song back to you like that... In my eyes that's the highest form of compliment that the artist can get when you having a whole arena especially like that Wembley arena that singing your song back to you they know the words to your song come on... That's got to be a euphoric feeling and I'm sure the audience feels the same

The girls always try to involve the crowd whether it’s letting them sing or just talking and playing around with them in between songs it’s one of the things I love about them. i don’t know if you only do music or not but you can check out Little Mix Best Crowd Moments or Times Little Mix let the audience sing to see how they interact with their fans

if you think perrie’s voice is deep in a way, you should definitely listen to an old song of theirs. she got her tonsils removed that made her voice less deep and “full”

For me, I love it when the performer holds out the mic to the audience because yeah, I could sing the song on my own anytime, but there's nothing like the feeling of singing along with an entire stadium of people in unison to songs that mean a lot to everyone there. I've been to several Why Don't We concerts in particular, and another great thing about these moments is the look on the boys' faces when the audience is singing the words. I think it's a nice moment of camaraderie for both the audience and the artist(s).

They did a pretty long set that night, so I think it partially had to do with them being tired that they let the crowd sing a few times to kinda catch their breath.

I'm pretty sure they just performed power right before this performance which had a lot of choreo, so thats probably why this wasn't their strongest performance vocally. Also Leigh was ill during the performance. As well as this, the crowd wasn't as loud as it usually would be because this was at the capital jingle bell ball where lot's of artists go to perform, so there's fans of many different people there. But a good performance of this song to listen to is at the capital summertime ball 2016!!

Nice of you to listen to the live version of this song, that was my suggestion to you when you reacted to the studio version just a day ago. Did you get more comments to hear them live? I noticed that you have a very strong analytical reaction to songs like you are a producer or a technician or engineer (I am an engineer). That was why initially I wasn't a big fan of your videos, but later on began to appreciate you more when you had some more direct comments on how you felt about the singer's voices, which I think is a big part of the listening experience. I don't know if learning about the background of a song would change your impression of it, but here is what I think was going on based on various You Tube videos. Jason Jarulo wrote this song for LM, after he heard them do a BBC live cover of a Whitney Houston song that was a mashup including part of one of his songs. He was very impressed by their vocals. In the original version Jason wrote, Jason admitted it was referring to an affair he was having with a married woman hence the whole Secret Love theme. In the original music video, there were supposed to be multiple couples portrayed including one same sex couple, and actors were hired to shoot scenes. But the studio cut all of it out and only had the parts with the LM singers and Jason, I think due to concerns of reaction to a same sex couple. I don't think the LM liked Jason's original adultery theme, or the exclusion of the same sex couple. So they tweaked the song and got rid of male/female pronouns and also Jason's portion, to make it a more generally inclusive song about having a secret love that can't be announced to the world. This made Secret Love Song Part II an instant LGBTQ anthem, which is not a surprise since LM and especially Jade are strong LGBTQ allies (I am straight BTW but an ally as well). I feel that the context and background of this song is important as you will see immense audience reaction to it in many live performances (and not just by LGBTQ fans in the audience). In the UK the audience is culturally less participating compared to EU countries, so they didn't sing much especially if the song is technically difficult and they feel embarrassed not singing it well. I have seen other shows where the audience is singing loud enough to almost drown out the speakers. So regardless of the analysis the emotional resonance is real and true and that is my point. Also as other subscribers may have pointed out Leigh-Anne was sick during this performance and struggled to hit her usual high notes, so she was trying to enlist some audience support on her part at the end, but unfortunately they didn't respond (it was a hard note to hit and they may have been too self conscious to try). That did make for a bit of akwardness in this performance but then Perrie came in and blew it away. In the end it is how LM makes their audience feel in the live performances that sets them apart and above many other more "distinguished" or "popular" artists.
