Thing is I do believe Mono (as the tall man) was upset. But I don't think he wanted to kill Six. But just try to take six away from past mono in order to stop the cycle. Because when saving six from the tower you can see that the room was filled with things six liked. Like The music box that kept her comfort and toys. I think he had turned her into a monster to become 'equal' since he became one as well. But that's just what I think.

GUYS I JUST THOUGHT OF ONE THING so there's also a theory that says that the children are raised to become the next 'antagonists' (i'll call them that bc I don't know what to call them actually) so if that is so that means this is not a time loop right? and if that's a thing then why is Six named Six? it could be because she is to become the sixth geisha (or the lady) that actually makes sense right? we could also see a picture in geisha house that looks something like her standing with Six AND REMEMBER that in geisha's house we could also hear that music box Six was playing!! so that means she has to do something with geisha beforehand or geisha is her future self who owns that music box but if we think about Mono, 'mono' means one, so that could mean that mono are the only one stuck in a loop because of the tower and he could be the only one thin man I hope this is not to complicated to understand 😕

In my opinion, six is maybe or the real reason why the thin man exist. The very reason all this happened is the betreyal mono received from six in the end,. The real villain for me in my opinion is six. Because maybe the reason why six was captured by the thin man was because he maybe doesnt want mono to end up like him, maybe he was trying to save him. And the thin man is trying to break the never ending cycle. To which he was alerting him of an upcoming betreyal. Love the game btw. Really freaking scary.

INTERESTING DETAIL: Pay close attention to the corridor door in the opening of the game: it's the only time where the eye on the door starts to glow with a tv effect, and the very next scene shows mono being ejected from the tv in the forest.

Ok...theory... Mono was"thrown out" of that tv to the past before LN from a future transmition after the Maw events It would make sense with the timeloop he exists in Hence this being a sequel to him...but a prequel to Six

Pps: what if the Thin Man is just a transmission because his real self is Mono, who's been ejected from the tv at the beginning of the game? That would explain why Mono is stronger and able to defeat the thin man. Also, the Thin Man looks entirely like a transmission while mono is physical, but when Mono takes his place on the chair and grows up he is still physical (until he ejects himself from the tv to start the loop again and again)

I found it interesting that Mono kind of accepts his fate and sits on the elevated chair, the only thing in the whole area beside the blob... maybe he has been there before? or like the Matrix loops- there has been more before him so it was set up to continue the cycle.

Haven't seen people talk about it too much, but the creature that actually is "the black tower" is basically some sort of cosmic horror entity basically straight from the stars. The whole last part of LN2 seems very lovecraftian to me.

I have a question regarding the Thin Man time loop theory. Look closely at the chair and the door at the beginning of the first game (at 8:09 ). This is the same chair and the same door as Thin Man has, and the hanged man's legs also looks like his. So is this a reference, a coincidence, or Thin Man got tired of eternal wait? By the way, LN1 starts on the Maw or near it, so it brings up the question: what Thin Man was doing here? Maybe, this is the way the Mono will end this eternal cycle in LN3: by ending himself :( Another thing I have to add, is that static shadow of Six does not look very kind at all, as it gestures at the Maw "advertisement", insisting that Six should satisfy her hunger there. I have a theory, that some time later Six secretly gets into the Maw by hiding in luggage. That is why in the beginning of the LN1 she wakes up inside the bag. But in the Tower her "room" has similar bag, hinting that this object is important part of her story. Also "tower of power with all seeing eyes, that brainwashes people and devours their souls and bodies, uncovering worst sides of their personality" is looking like classical illuminati conspiracy theory. We can literally see the eyes in triangles on the game poster (at the TV screen). But its a common cliche nowadays, so I'll not gonna dig into that

I have a small theory. When Mono battled Thin Man in the rainy street, when Thin Man disappeared, he didn’t actually die, but rather was just sapped of his powers and somehow teleported to the Maw, through the Janitors TV. (The Janitors TV is the only TV we see in LN1 , and it’s eerily close to where you see thin hanging man.) so I think that when Thin Man/mono was sent to the maw, the loss of his powers drove him to insanity and he hung himself.

The time loop leaves too many issues. For example, the geisha would have to be revived. All the death would have to be undone. If this was a time paradox, we would need to find the point of “resetting” so to speak. That point is the point in which the time loop begins again. I think a more simple answer is that the children are destined to replace key figures of power that share their unique abilities within each area. Six saw a vision of the geisha in the beginning of Little nightmares. Mono saw the door to the thin man. I think both children are drawn to their counterpart. The fact that mono turned into the thin man I think simply reflects the specific nature of the figure of power that they are trying to replace. The thin man is not just a person, but a title or office that is held. His appearance is tied to his title. Look at the multiple chefs, all with the same look. Look at the viewers, all with the same face deformity. Look at the common themes for each game, or the common themes within each game. The maw has to do with hunger. The pale city has to do with the transmission of information (possibly). I think this game isn’t a prequel, but simply an indication that each child is drawn towards that place which is in line with their power or “destiny”.

I also don’t think the prequel idea works, since very little nightmares is the prequel to little nightmares. Six was in the nest, the pretender having taken her place. If the events of little nightmares 2 happened before very little nightmares, then six would have never had the raincoat. As a last point, both mono and six’s powers got worse or stronger as they drew closer to their counterpart or goal location. Six’s hunger is an extension of her power. There’s a lot of possible theories on all of this, so I’d need to look into the games more to say more on it.

It doesn't make any sense if mono still have his consciousness on this time loop. Mono knew what will happened to the thin man if he keep chasing him. If he knew that, why would the thin man chase mono, he can just kill six instead. Its like mono become a thin man and has no control of himself anymore. The tower can turn six into monster for a few hours or minutes, so i dont think mono grow until he become the thin man, the tower make him a monster. Probably mono is trap in time loop because of the tower.

Okay I think I can explain why six really let go of mono and why everything is like this. Little nightmares 2 is a prequel to the first game. The reasons we have the idea is firstly because the rain coat that six’s finds in the ally way is from that girl from very little nightmares. I bet they will make a dlc about the girl in the rain coat going though the city until she dies. The next reason why it’s a prequel is because of the ending of the game with the secret ending. If you look closely at when six was holding mono at the end before she dropped him you can see she was consuming some of monos powers to get through the screen since it was like the tv screens mono was going through not reach the signal that was drawing him. During the secret ending we see the consequences of what six did by how when she consumed the power it caused her body to grow this void like hunger which causes her pain unless she eats something. with the void six seeing a picture of the maw showed us she must of got the idea to go to the maw to try and stop this hunger. Now while I and mostly everyone don’t know how six got to the maw in the first game I believe that she got their using the television and knocked herself out when going out from the other side since she is not used to the power she has gotten from mono. So overall this game is actually a prequel to the first game with the cycle of nightmares never ending.

I have a little theory, as soon as six is taken, that glitch is her soul, and the monster version is her slowly corrupting, the music box isn't anything bad, it's the same one we see when we first see her in little nightmares 2, her holding it is her trying to stay and hold onto her life, we think we're saving her by destroying it, but we're doing the opposite, we're practically erasing her, and when her body is turned back to normal, it's someone else's soul in her body, when she grabs onto mono, she holds him differently, the other times she try to pick him up, she tries with all her might, but with the betray one, she couldn't care less, not to mention the hunger starts as soon as the possessed six escapes, and glitch six, the real six is staring at the possessed six

What if....what if the thin man wasn't warning mono...I think the thin man was under the eye's control and was trapping mono, in fact if he wasn't he would never make people kill themselves, and the tower needs mono's power and his presence to exist....so I think the thin man kidnapped six to trap mono and make him go inside the signal tower and the music box was a trap, if he hits it six would do anything to get revenge , and he did. Which leads six to letting him fall and stay in the tower, and if the thin man really wanted to break the time loop he wouldn't do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. And nothing confirms that the thin man is really trying to stop himself, six wasn't the reason that everything happened. Imagine if she didn't stop him he would've ended up directly in the signal tower and the tower could've easily took control of him.

@@elvarnswd the events of ln2 flow easily into the events of ln1 I mean think about it; if ln2 is a sequel to ln1 why would six want to go back to the maw after killing pretty much everyone onboard what is left for her there? I think it’s much more of a likability that ln2 takes place before the events of ln1 since the secret ending not only shows us the poster for the maw, but also the first time in the entirety of ln2 when six first deals with her hunger. (What the hunger means exactly I’m not sure but this is what I’ve gathered after playing ln2 for myself)

Six is the reason thin man Exists.. and the reason her hunger exist... Six dropped Mono because he realise Thin Man is Mono.. but she doesn't realise that she was the one that made Mono became that way.. I think he only becomes Thin Man or the next Thin Man because he falls into that abyss meaning that if she didn't drop him, he maybe would have been a character in Little Nightmares 1.. Okay Six seems to be eating everything so she might would've eaten Mono wich could also be a reason for why she dropped him but I don't think she would eat the person who helped her out and could help her in the future? I think the reason why she is so hungry is because it symbolizes regret and guilt for leaving Mono in that hell and dropping him. And in the sequel she eats all the time she feels the hunger (regret and guilt) as a way to forget betraying her friend.

I think that The Thin Man was trying to protect Six by killing the younger version of himself to break the cycle. If Mono dies while you play as him, the cycle would stop. Of course finishing a game is the main part of any narrative, but in this case Mono dying would technically save people

Maybe in part three, she goes back to save him from the time loop that he's in cause she's knows that that's the only way to save him and that's why she let him go. everyone’s been giving the lore of the story, but on a broader, more real-life meaning: i feel like the story is about kids who can see how terrifying and corrupted the world is (blaming it onto the brainwashed, evil adults), then tries to change it, fix it, but in the end, after being betrayed, they are slapped with reality, and thus slowly become the very kind of adult that they once thought were the route of all evil.

If you work from the ending backwards six get hungry and well if mono was there with her she might've killed and eaten him. Big if but if she was aware of her hunger before leaving the tower, dropping mono would've been better for him and inadvertently sparing him from worse fate. So technically the time loop exists just to keep Mono alive so he doesn't get eaten by six

My theory is that Shadow Six wanted Mono to follow her and help her get back to the real Six,and get her body back,they both tried to fight monster Six and get her back to her normal tiny self,(Mono just tried to help the real Six through the whole adventure,(they had a bond)helps her get out of the hunters place,help get her back from Thin Man and the tv,etc. Mono never tried to hurt Six,he even fought Thin Man and absorbed him/made him a part of him,just to get betrayed by Six and left alone)what if Shadow Six is angry at the real Six for betraying Mono and leaving him alone,and she is tormenting Six/getting revenge on the real Six by giving her hunger pains and making her eat the rat,lady,nome,etc,i think after Mono gets betrayed by Six,he grew up,and became the Thin Man,and was angry about the betrayal,and hunted and took Six to get revenge on her for betraying him

There will be many more games and I believe they will be all out of order. Only until it's all over will we be able to piece the story completely. I'm interested how this game is going to play out, I took it at face value but now I see the story is much deeper than I thought. It's all allegoric for something.

in LN1 when you showed the part of the man and the chair. is that supposed to be Mono??? It definitely looks like the thin man as if he ended his life trying to break the loop.

Could the secret ending of little nightmares 2, is the beginning of little nightmares 1? Imagine tha Dark SIX appearance in the secret ending of LN2 looking into the MAW. I guess possibly that SIX gets her DARK PRESENCE by the time she is stock in the SIGNAL TOWER allowing her to gain more power than MONO. In LN1 evry Hunger issue of SIX tha Dark Side of HER appears. (The GLITCH) in the secret ending of LN2. The Post credit ending of LN1 when the TV opens, the THIN MAN(MONO) appears. Mybe he's now ready to haunt SIX because of her betrayal in LN2. (Spoiler alert)

The soulless six is the evil one the glitch shade six is the good one you see in the first time that mono saved six from the hunter six was playing the music box but she’s not like the monster we saw on the ending thats because six glitch six was still on her body but thin man manipulated six and took away glitch six from six’s body and became a monster because she’s soulless now she became evil and all the negativity came to her and suddenly leaves mono behind because all the positivity was on glitch six while glitch six and thin man was trying to save mono from all the danger in LN2 also soulless six

everyone is blaming six but I think she thought that she could kill the thin man and save herself because she thought mono was always evil and would try to kill her, however by betraying mono she created the thin man because he didn’t understand why she betrayed him. If six had pulled him up she would have actually saved herself because the thin man would never have existed.

Actually both the things you said are correct, six and mono's adventure is a time loop but the game is also a prequel to the first one because Six after betrayal (which results in mono becaming the thin man and dyng by the hand of young mono) went to the Maw
