@@cindysue5474 This is my fav album and cover, too. All of their ocean and woodsy music left deep impressions inside of me. I've never had music before or after move me like their first albums. I know it isn't popular to say but they lost me after Dog & Butterfly. But their first albums became a part of me, very hard to express how.

Little Queen by Heart and the soundtrack to The Song Remains The Same by Led Zeppelin along with Master Of Reality by Black Sabbath and Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane were the albums that I requested and received from my parents for my 13th birthday on 08/22/1977. Here I am having just turned 60 in 2024 and I still listen to and absolutely love all of the same music, not to mention that good ol' green skunky bud that I've been smoking since 1976✌🏼

The real Heart, with Roger Fisher, he was the true genius in the band in the early days, and the one who came up with their most famous riffs on Barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy On You, etc.. these days everyone seems to forget that and think it was Nancy and i've seen interviews where she seems to be into revisionist history and claims coming up wtih things that Roger did, but back then she just strummed the acoustic guitar. Roger was their band leader, and lead guitarist who did all the intro's and the leads.

Well said!

Well I agree up to a point because I'm all Roger Fisher as well....but Nancy was an incredible player back then as she still is. She came up with and played the intro to Crazy On You and Mistral Wind among plenty of other things. She and Roger created some beautiful songs together as well...Sylvan Song and Love Alive (mostly Roger) and Soul of the Sea come to mind. But if you want to see just how good Nancy's playing has always been, pull up a gem of a show here on youtube called Heart- The Second Ending. Recorded live in front of a relatively small audience in 1975 or 6, it's really an amazing show. Heart at its best with all the perfect 6 members ❤

The dudes in the original hard rocking band all left, and Heart became a very different pop band that didnt ROCK. Nancy JAMS, and it aint no joke. When she was with that Fisher dude they rocked out like the best of the best. There were MAJOR hints at protometal that were some serious musical changes in the late 70s. Actually there were multiple elements of musical genres in their music, but splitting up completely stopped some seriously hard rock.
