I did the same thing when I was a kid. I love cats and I would dress them in my doll clothes and wrap them in a blanket and carry them around like a baby. I now how have two cats one is a full colored ginger and the new one is ginger and white. But there is no way either one of them would let me do what she does with Cosmo. 😞

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have lost many pets over the decades and it rips my heart in two each time. I've always found rescuing another to be a great start to healing. It doesn't mean that you forget your lost love, but you find room in your heart to love another, even when you don't think you can. Then one day a stray cat came to my house looking for food. He looked almost like my baby, Loki. I looked at him with surprise how much they look alike. I fed him that day and he showed up again the next day. This time I reached out to him, tried to cuddle. Shockingly he didn't try to run away and let me cuddle him. He came inside my house and started to follow me everywhere. He used to come to me with his tail up and rub his head on my legs. I named him Thor. He stayed with me a year. After that he passed away. He was senior cat. But before leaving he taught me the lesson of my life that never stop loving and caring for your furry friends. They need that so much. There are so many cats that need a loving home. Give them a chance. By doing that you're doing a favor to yourself. Animals have an amazing gift of being a healing medium. They can heal you from anything.

Then, she called me when she was in traffic, saying that one of the kittens I had was in the car, under the hood somewhere crying. Luckily, I came and got the little guy out. He was very thankful to be out of that car and he never got in a car again. The best news is that he has a forever home now with a really nice woman who adores him. Btw, he was also a long haired yellow tabby cat. Plus he's an indoor only cat now.🤗🐱

I hate to be a downer, but I did some research recently after adopting my own kitten in December. I found videos by a cat behaviorist to be especially helpful. One of her most emphasized tips is to NOT do the cute "I'm tickling your belly" thing with your fingers, which is just an extension of a rule of NOT playing with your cat with your fingers. We all agree it's cute. But apparently what you're teaching a kitten is that your fingers are things to attack. Biting, scratching, and kicking are behaviors that are being encouraged by playing using your hands and fingers. When they're a kitten this is cute. But as an adult this translates into behaviors that are highly undesirable, as their claws and bites are much more formidable, and they will just think they're playing. Meanwhile, the person can be seriously injured.

I feel like the only people who worry about playing with them with your fingers are A) when the cat is playing with children B) when the cat is for old people or C) when the cat is feral and did not grow up around proper humans. But then again I guess some people can't handle a little rough housing with their cat. Can't relate.

They've been the ONLY cats I've had that come to me when I call them. My current ginger boy, Kyo is the sweetest boy, so I can attest to this. Not necessarily, one of the most famous KZbin stories is about a girl who adopted a kitten off the street and into her college dorm. School said no pets, she broke down being that the cat was her world. Forced her parents to take him till she was done with school. Like 10 years later she has 2 children now. That cat loves those two kids. She leave him alone with the kid when it was only a sleeping baby. The nanny cam show him protecting and cleaning the baby. Years later the kids being rough crazy kids would take bubble baths with him, lift him up, have tea parties, and he'd love it.

When our Manx showed up at the door the day we were moving into our house in Fresno, we're pretty sure he was a teenager already. I love these soulmates additions. I recently found my soulmate kitty. She was a kitty that roamed my apt complex. A couple tenants were feeding her but she started following me one day even though I had no food and never fed her before. I started feeding her at night and spending hrs with her outside while everyone was asleep. I was able to get her fixed and vaccinated and now she’s living the good life with me. She definitely was sent to me. 😊 She’s so sweet and so well behaved. I’m truly blessed. Thank you Amani for picking me to be your human. 😻

Homeless animals that come from the street tend to overeat. Their brains are wired to eat as much as possible because they don’t know where their next meal will be. In a way, they’re special needs. “Scarf and Barf” is common in rescues, and obesity can turn into an issue once they reach adulthood. When they’re growing their metabolism is so fast. Adorable video. I too remember burping my late rescue kitty. I had him for 16 years. He was my child, best friend, etc.

What I love so much about this is he he just an ordinary dosmetic free cat. Lately, I see a lot expensive pure breed cat aka british shorthair, get so much attention on tiktok and others platforms. This is just pure love. Rescure cats are just as awesome. I can feel her love for him bc that is exactly how much I love my 13 years old kitty.
