This happened to me 15 years ago. Friendly street cat basically moved herself into my house with me dog. When I took her to get fixed, vet said do u want good news or bad news...lol, she was pregnant and had 6 kittens. What news that was! We found homes for the kittens when it was time and she became our cat! She was so close with my dog! She was the ultimate momma, finding a safe place for her babies to born.

Expect it wasn't her cat. She was a stray homeless cat that became pregnant while on the streets. The proper thing to say is when you take in a homeless animal make sure you get them fixed if you know for a fact that you're going to keep them. This isn't a catch and release program.

We wound up with a kitten, a little black fuzzball, that I could have sworn was a boy. We named him Montgomery, called him Monty. Took him to the clinic on Tomcat Tuesday to get him fixed for $20. I went to pick him up at 5:00 and found out Monty was a little girl - not pregnant thank goodness, but still a little girl. We decided to keep calling her Monty/Montgomery (she said she was fine with it). [The clinic also showed no mercy on the cost either! It went from $30 (surgery plus vaccines and shots) for a little boy to $160 for her (no phone call to let us know that ahead of time either so that was a shock when I got there). That would have been okay if we'd have had the money. They were closing at 5:30 and I needed to use a credit card for part of the payment and transfer money for the rest (had to call hubby at work and walk him through the transfer because we don't have cell phones). Of course they said they could keep her overnight but then there'd be a $30 fee for that! Nothing like the good old caring Greenville Humane Society (SC) to help broke people out with the fees! By the time I got out of there it was going on 6:00, still needed to pick up hubby across town (he was off work at 5:00) and drive 1 1/2 hours home! I know everyone who has dealt with different clinics, organizations already know this but places don't give you a break on costs - at least none in South Carolina.]

This happened to us too.. 4 months ago!!.. It was a Toyger cat we named him Mingming.. The first time we saw him he was hungry and we gave him food.. Then he now comes to us every day until he sleeps at our house and we took him in❤️❤️

Oh my gosh, it's stories like this one that should remind us to take care of each other. No matter what race, social status, religion, color, man, women, or child. If our animal friends can do it, then we should follow their lead. It could happen if we all just loved each other.🐾

Cats give so much love! My boyfriend found Bailey when he was just an kitten and winter was fast approaching so I took him in and he is such a loving cat. He takes his paw to my face and turns it toward his face to nuzzle me if I turn away it's such a cute thing he does lol

Unfortunately some dogs do have a predator or play instinct with small animals including other dogs and small animals

Depends on the dog and the circumstances, but dogs have been known to eat baby kittens unfortunately. I imagine if they're docile, domesticated and well-fed the chances are probably super low, but it's not 100% guaranteed.

My cat, Charley just died a few weeks ago, my mom was eating outside when she saw a stray cat. my mom called her and the cat came, i told my mom told my mom that we should adopt her but my mom refused because it might be my neighbors cat (they have 6+ cats) back to the cat, she was getting closer to us and she wasn't scared anymore. Until she doesn't come to our house for many weeks. i told my mom where he is but my mom refused to tell me.. i keep telling her until she told me that he was killed by a car, it was the saddest day because he was literally the only one that makes me happy when I'm stressd, I'm literally crying while typing this comment because he was the greatest cat, I'm waiting for another cat to come and join our family..

You made me CRY... when someone chooses to pay attention to something in need and help it out it just makes my heart soar yes little kittens can get pregnant at 4 months of age.... irresponsible throw them out to fend on their own but people like you pick up the pieces enjoy the blessings of these Precious Precious Souls just look at all those fur babies SIX! Murphy he has your heart that's why he was able to welcome Kevin & kittens just like they were his own Murphy has a beautiful face all the cats have beautiful markings please make sure the new pet parents get the kitties spayed and neutered and keep them indoors so they don't get hurt no outdoor kitties God has blessed you 🤗💖
