I remember the movie banging in little rock.. now I'm in NO WAY saying that little rock isn't tough.. but I grew up near Los Angeles and then later moved to the east coast, Philadelphia. Finally in my 40s moved to Arkansas.. and I'll tell you what.. the coast hoods are waaaayyyy harder than anything I've seen in lr. The folks in Arkansas, no matter what hood you are in, are flat out nicer. They just are. It is a lot more laid back here, even the hard core hoods, than it is in the east or west. Southern hospitality is a real thing.

I don't care what your history books or yoor documentaries say we saw it all manifest live from the time they were recruiting their so called soldiers a lot of us who lived in thoses areas had meetings to see how we could defuse it the crack problem that came to Little Rock in our neighbourhoods, save that story to someone who want to believe what you think you know. I'm a part of that history.

Matthew Mirowski indeed which is why I don't live in the city anymore. Near but not in. The drugs and gangs and serious stuff started when I was a kid. We had cops in our schools well before these current days of mass shootings. Everyone had bars on their windows if they liked keeping their stuff. 197% above the national average. If you visit, just don't bother going out at night or ever bringing more than a rental car and cheap clothing. People literally have killed people for their shoes...here they do it for free.

Not bad, not bad of a hood. An Asian boy like me will fit right in. I find that most black people in the midwest and the South are very polite. But in liberal cities, it is a different story.

Man, Little Rock looks just like Lorain, ,and Toledo Ohio. After seeing "Banging In Little Rock" back in the day I thought it would be way more hood than this! This is nothing Compared to Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati

L00ks can be deceiving for real, and Toledo, Ohio is rough as can be just like Little-Rock. And so I don't know what you are talking about.

CharlieBo313 it's all good. It's been hella quiet for months anyways. But the weather is finally starting to warm up. It's better to come when it's hot outside anyways. More people outside. It was like 55 degrees today smh
@CharlieBo3136 жыл бұрын
I'm sure I'll be there during the warm months. I'm trying to get back to Toronto too. I'll probably do that all together.
@DrFunky46 жыл бұрын
CharlieBo313 if you go to Toronto a good spot for interviews is the intersection of Queen Street East and Jarvis Street. There's some kind of homeless shelter there called "Fred Victor", either that or it's a methadone clinic. There's ALWAYS drug addicts/homeless people/drug dealers out there. I'm sure someone will interview. You will find people up the street at the intersection of Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street as well.
