First of all, i dont care what you feel about Megyn kelly, but what you wont do is disrespect this woman.Because of Dr.Beals and what she and the Little Rock 9 endured, Black children in the South got to eventually attend any high school of their choice.have you ever had acid thrown in your eyes? Had burning strips of notebook paper throw at you while trying to use the bathroom?having to turn the other cheek while being hit and kicked every single day because your survival and those around you literally depended on it?The future of Black children (and other children of color) depended on it.Yall "faux-woke" folks wouldnt last a day in any person's shoes who grew up during the Civil Rights Movement.This woman is 77 years old sharing her story.Before you judge her over a tv show she is on, read her books Warriors Don't Cry, Freedom is a State of Mind, and I Will Not Fear and then tell me about respecting one self.

Was never a Megyn Kelly fan, but I've watched several clips from her show. Why? Because they covered some of the most amazing people with amazing stories! Why did NBC wait for her to decide to do this, and why haven't they continued now that she's gone? She wasn't a match for these heartfelt, meaningful, beautiful stories. She lacked the knowledge, empathy, honesty, and humanity to connect to the people, the stories. Genuineness isn't her wheelhouse.

My daughter graduated from Central in 2018... The spirit of racism is still alive in the essence of school’s structure and master schedule. In many cases, your black child’s success depends on the parents having an active presence in their education. Not just at Central but anywhere. But definitely at LRCH. I often said, if they will try to pull this BS on my child KNOWING I am an educator within the same school district working at a different high school, imagine what they are doing to students whose parents are on the outside. Thankfully, my daughter was academically strong when she arrived at Central and able to take classes on the 3rd floor. What’s on the 3rd floor... the majority of the AP/Pre-AP classes, which consisted of more white than black students.

It’s insanely cool to see that I’ve how far she has come and how far we have come as a nation you know you can ask everyone in that room not one person thinks she is less then I go back 50 years ago and you might find a couple.

@bradenharris8718
@bradenharris8718 4 жыл бұрын
Then shouldn't she be the best to do it? How do you change peoplrs ignorance unless they're confronted with their ignorance and taught and shown differently? We can't keep just canceling people forever.. we have to be better, people can change. People can be better, shown a different way of thinking and change their opinions and attitudes but NOT if we keep just writing then off the instant they say or think something ignorant. We have to show them and teach them why their wrong. Maybe hearing this made her realize, or will kelp her realize why she's wrong and how much it hurts people to have these attitudes once she puts an actual face to herignorance. This is what we should all strive for as POC, to changeattitudes, to teach our children differently and to give people the chance to change,.
