This feels like another 'Untitled Unmastered' in the sense that most of the tracks sound like b-sides from a previous classic album, yet it's still better than 99% of other rap albums this year.

She’s the best. Even if this album isn’t as big as the last one, it’s still one of the best hip hop albums I’ve heard this year, and that wasn’t an easy task, as we had a lot of great music on 2022. Simz currently is my favorite MC around the world

Fully agreed. The confidence in which she tackles the more stripped back instrumentation and all of the experimentation with her flow sliding in and out of every single pocket is a sight to behold. She was untouchable on this project from her cadence and flow to the bars. The beats shined a spotlight on her greatest strengths where Sometimes I Might Be Introvert came across maybe a little OVER produced in some spots and slightly too busy for my tastes. I still respect it as a work of grandeur in hip hop like a UK woman’s answer to the cinema-tics of my beautiful dark twisted fantasy

This video was a great analysis of Simz's catalogue, and I obviously enjoyed this record as much as I had hoped. The track Broken really encapsulated and helped me through some of the personal mental health struggles I was dealing with this past week, and although I obviously can't claim to relate to the racial aspect of the mental struggles Simz displayed on the track, I still love and appreciate her intimacy and vulnarability within the wordplay. Another fantastic album from the best rapper of the decade.

Returning to this album a few months later - songs still go on a little long at points but it is a grower. It's about as strong as SIMBI, maybe even better. The only real low point is the mixing on sideways

She played a drill'ish, club'ish kinda song on her live show and I'm a bit bummed, that this style isn't more explored on the new album.

Simbi is the greatest rapper alive and its not up for debate. Quite frankly if you're even processing her music through a lens of "best female rapper" or some shit all you're doing is putting her in a box. Strong 9.

That's a hot take for sure, best rapper alive? Maybe one of the most overrated. She lacks any depth or dynamics in her delivery, the content of the music is not very deep and sounds unfocused and confused a lot of the time. I mean, broken was a great track, I really like the verse about the struggle of immigrants. Regardless though, relatively she is a great hip-hop artist, but best alive is honestly laughable. Have you heard Ab-Souls new album? That is just one rapper who is miles ahead of little simzs.

Only heard it this afternoon for the first time. My local recordshop was playing it and I stayed to listen to the whole album. For not being a massive hip-hop fan I really liked this album a lot! Strong lyrics, beats, melodies, singing, the whole package. And no weak or boring song amongst them. To me she has become one of the few hip-hop acts I really love (next to Run the Jewels and Genesis Owusu). Why this artist hasn't drawn more attention to her music and this album in the last six months is unbelievable. Maybe the physical release on June 16th will change this. I'd give this album a 9 out of 10 easily.

How can you talk 9:20 minutes about this album and not mentioning Inflo being the producer of the album???? It has got written his (SAULT) signature all over it and Little Sims fits his suits perfectly. Amazing and very exciting album. Imho too negatively reviewed here.

I really like this album. Her 2nd best behind Gray Area, better than SIMBI. I like SIMBI don't get me wrong, but it felt some of the writing was a bit forced and some of the delivery was heavy-handed and awkward like How Did I Get Here. Speed had a great beat but some of Simz lines were flat there as well as in some other places in the album. Here it sounds much more intimate and conversational and these are the songs of hers that touch me the most. And Gorilla is nuts, definitely one of her best deliveries yet, if her best.
