Fully agreed. The confidence in which she tackles the more stripped back instrumentation and all of the experimentation with her flow sliding in and out of every single pocket is a sight to behold. She was untouchable on this project from her cadence and flow to the bars. The beats shined a spotlight on her greatest strengths where Sometimes I Might Be Introvert came across maybe a little OVER produced in some spots and slightly too busy for my tastes. she's the best lyricist rn but her beat choices aren't always the best. I hope she has a long career and gets the love she deserves

@@coraldelaluna best lyricist? Lupe? Black thought?

Lmao nah. She's not even top 10 right now. She's overrated on social media.

Right ik it falls off a bit at the end but it’s at minimum an 8. The bars throughout the record are so consistently brilliant, with the instrumentals being somewhat withdrawn but still very enjoyable

I don’t think the last three songs are bad even, just a more chilled out vibe than the rest

Simz might become the goat of the 2020s with this track record

I really like this album. Her 2nd best behind Gray Area, better than SIMBI. I like SIMBI don't get me wrong, but it felt some of the writing was a bit forced and some of the delivery was heavy-handed and awkward like How Did I Get Here. Speed had a great beat but some of Simz lines were flat there as well as in some other places in the album. Here it sounds much more intimate and conversational and these are the songs of hers that touch me the most. And Gorilla is nuts, definitely one of her best deliveries yet, if her best.

Hard disagree. This is easily a 9 for me. Fantastic album.
