Awesome, reminds me of teaching of my daughter to paint, She bought her first car, an 85 Mustang with a 3.8 V6 and Auto trans, when she was 14 thinking dad was gonna rebuild it for her..... Hell no, I have my own stuff to work on, but I'll show you how to do it yourself, The only thing she didn't do is rebuild the transmission, she rebuilt the motor, took the interior apart and cleaned it up and put it back together, did all the body work and painted it while I told her how to do it, I went to a bone yard and got a fender the had some rust on for just a couple bucks it so I could show her how to shape metal, weld, do body filler and how to mix up primer and how to paint so she could do her own work, she's 29 now and still has the Mustang. The only thing she's changed is the wheels. The car was originally beige with tan interior and she painted it a mss-mixed Grabber Blue that she paid $25 for the gallon, Dad even taught her how to get good paint cheaply.

Thanks for sharing this, that is awesome. An 85 mustang is one of my favs, the body style on it really what catches my attention. It’s awesome that you showed her the ropes. My sister and I both never had anyone to show us so she started off detailing at a body shop and started doing little body work from now and then. She’s still got a lot to learn but has come far and is only 20. I’m more of the mechanic in the family, KZbin certified 💪🏼

Beautiful truck these older Ford Rangers. I wish these little trucks would be manufactured once again, especially the regular cab trucks. Not everyone needs or wants a 4 door station wagon truck when a regular cab truck suits them just fine.

Man I wish they made cars like they used to. It just isn’t the same anymore but I totally get it. I love me an old truck, a lot of these older vehicles will out due most of these new ones.

Beautiful job well done here. Now, a paint on bed liner would do even better to protect the bed. And, painting the underside of the chassis and floorboards, underneath the bed and frame with black rust olem paint will really make this beautiful looking little truck stand out to an even better looking truck. This way, the whole underside components will last even longer.

Totally agree with ya, if it was ours we’d do the whole enchilada. I told my buddy $600 and I gotchu so not too bad for that price 🤙🏼

What brands paint n clear did you use and were did you purchase it thanks

We used a single stage paint. The brand was delfleet essential and we got it from Gipe which is an auto body supplier, but I'm sure you can get it from an auto parts store or something similar.

Its a 4 speed with a overdrive. So its a 5 spd
