I just recently bought one, im loving it. Couple things i learned you may not know. On their website you can get sugar free stevia packs, so instead of sugar water u add water to that then add flavor. Also, instead of condensed milk they have a cream mixer as well, but its dairy so only lasts a few weeks. Has better flavor then condensed milk. They also have a line of all natural flavors no dyes etc. The machine isnt the cheapest but it makes snow cones ud never complain if you got it from a stand.

Got one of my own recently and I'm loving it so far. Trying out different flavors, but my favorites will always be Tiger's Blood and/or Spearmint. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, where Snowballs are ubiquitous, and it's a blessing to be able to have them up here in the Pac NW. =)

I love that' its small, and doesn't take up as much room as my old machine. In fact I think I'm gonna go make one now. LOL

Who ever is handling the camera killed it. Thanks for this video it's answered a lot of my questions. It's been a while since you posted it, you still like it? Have you used it for a big party?

Yes, still love it. I use it for backyard movie nights. Normally about 15-30 people. Works great.

Thank you for the review! I own an Ice Cub like machine, and am thinking about a Little Snowie as well at some point for the same reasons you mentioned. Can you tell a difference between the "snow" from the two machines? Does the Snowie shave as well as the bigger machine or is it a little courser? I keep reading different answers to that question.
@allthatsfun70753 жыл бұрын
I honestly can't tell the difference. The only real difference in the machines, is on the cub machine you can make adjustments to the blade. Having said that the Little Snowie is more consistent since there is no adjustment.

I came here to ask the same question. I am really big on the consistency because I don't use syrup and just eat the ice so I like mine to be fluffy and soft like snow. I have spent so much money on smaller machines and recently spent $70 on the "crank hand bar" kind on Amazon and I hate it. The ice comes out so dense and wet. I am ready to take the plunge and purchase a more expensive machine and can't make up my mind between the snowie and the cub. Thanks so much for this review!

Hi how’s it now? Does it say if it needs to rest for like example after 15mins of continuous using? I’m thinking of using it for a party which obviously has to serve a lot of guest. Thank you
@allthatsfun70753 жыл бұрын
I didn't see anything saying to let it rest, and mine has been used by more than a few people at a time. Obviously with the way this works, the motor is getting a break every time some one stops pushing on cover, and when a new person steps up. So it should be fine.

I am kicking myself for not buying the Snowie at Costco for 79.99. Went back the following week and they all disappeared.😖😭😤🤬

Prime day this year, this product was $160. I just bought it, and I have the large machine he showed in the video. About to text the snowie out to see the difference

@@Jawkneed Hi Johnny! Will you let me know what you thought about the snowie in comparison to the cub. I am ready to buy a more expensive machine after years of purchasing cheaper kinds. I use mine to just eat the ice so the texture is what I am curious about. Is it fine and fluffy like snow? I am trying to decide between the 2 machines. Thanks so much for your help!

@@michellecarice Hey! I did a few taste tests with my little nephews and their parents. Here was the consensus: Little Snowie (LS) vs Polar Pal (PP) - PP’s texture was much more fine and snow like compared to LS. Plus, PP can actually shave the ice so fine that it is like the Asian shave ice. - LS’s texture wasn’t bad at all, but it changed based on what type of ice you’re using. We once used the hotel’s ice from the ice machine and the texture was not great. But when I used my cubed ice from the refrigerator, then the ice was more fine. LS is very compact and can fit easily in your car compared to PP which is about 3ft tall. LS is pretty loud. PP is quiet. LS uses ice cubes and LS used block ice. There are pros and cons to the ice being used. If you are just using it for you or a small family, then LS is good because you just use your ice from your refrigerator. But if you want to cater a party, then you’ll have to buy ice. That could get expensive over time. PP used block ice. So, you won’t spend any money on purchasing ice since you just use filtered water from home to fill a bucket to freeze. I have the right sized bucket if you ever need to know it. But, this process can take up a lot of space in your freezer. I used my PP to serve 70 people at a block party and 175 people at a birthday party. Super easy. I used the LS to take on a family vacation to serve 10 people on our trip. Everyone agreed the PP’s texture was more refined than the LS, but they said the LS was not that bad. Hope that helps! Please let me know if you need anymore info.

@allthatsfun70753 жыл бұрын
I actually ended up giving it to a friend, as it was just to big for home use. I will say it's a great machine, affordable, and can shave through ice like a beast. Down side is you have to mold your ice, which in my case, was hit or miss. Sometimes I would get a block of ice, that would shave nicely, but a lot of times my block would crack pretty quickly. When that happens it can be a bit jarring. That protective shield isn't locked down, so you can get it dislodged if you aren't holding it. Over all good machine, I would add a foot pedal to it, so if ice cracks, as soon as you remove foot machine stops.

Would this hold up for commercial use
@allthatsfun70753 жыл бұрын
They say it's an industrial motor, but I haven't had it long enough, or used it hard enough to give you an honest opinion on that. I do know the same company makes commercial units, but are around 2-3 thousand dollars.

Still love it, actually wanting to make a shaved ice right now, after answering these comments (sorry it took so long, life). Yes you can replace the blade, although so far I haven't had to.

$150+ for a glorified ice shaver? Um no thanx i can make this with a ninja food processor 🤣😂😅
@allthatsfun70753 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing to, but the Ninja doesn't make shaved ice, it makes crushed ice more like snow cones.

Definitely not the same! Snowie shaved ice is so much better.
