This is awesome. The one fishery I am jealous you guys have out east there. Finally landed my first one in two years inside New York Harbor.

Yeah well at least you got a couple better then nothing. They linger in this spot throughout the season and you just drive by and if you see the birds load up quickly and its only a 5minute peddle and your in the strike zone.

Albacore fishing is underated. Such a cool looking fish
@bensuss10548 жыл бұрын
tuna/ albacore tip: on a bird school look at the direction the birds are flying in and cast in front of the lead birds because thats where the fish are going and you will get more hookups i promise casting at where the birds just were is not nearly as effective because the fish are moving so fast they have already left that area by time your jig is in the water

This year I'm either fishing for them from my yak or shore in Rhode Island at the weakapaug breach way or going out of Groton CT near pine island and bluff point my pb was 12.5 lbs 👍🏻👊🏻🤘🏻😎🐟💯
@nickrobintamburrino68128 жыл бұрын
Dude weekapaug breachway sucked this year. go to the end if quonny breachway theres blitzes evey hour its so much better for bass and albies

Get a large arbor reel it will help you catch the line up allot faster when they swim towards you or just pull the line in by hand and when they run let them pull it back out

Do you use the same setup for stripers on the fly, but with different flies?
@FishAholicTV8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I use the same setup but I vary what flies I use based on what bait is in the water
@Bobbystairfishing8 жыл бұрын
Same thing happened to me, I made a ton of casts to pods and they wouldn't take anything. They seem so dialed into the bait when blitzing. I just have better luck when making blind casts with a 1 oz Deadly Dick.

How tough is it to catch these from the shore / jetties? RI/MA area
@FishAholicTV8 жыл бұрын
It's not tuff but it's all about location and being in the right place at the right time.
@longislandfishing61508 жыл бұрын
How can you tell the difference between them and blues on the surface?
@bernier148 жыл бұрын
Albies slash the surface when blitzing while blues kind of slap the surface

@FishAholicTV8 жыл бұрын
Yes I believe they are in the Mackerel Family. And then theres the Scrombridae family which is Tuna, and Bonitos
