Very helpful video. Currently on a Diamond SD330. Looking forward to upgrading to 75A as the SD330 is very similar to LTII. Fuse is used for +13.8VDC power connection.

Great antenna and can mount it on top of vehicle. Grounding of antenna and radio to vehicle frame/body is most important factor for good performance. Been using one for many years and it keeps on tickin. 73

Excellent video! I have been thinking about switching to a Little Tar Heel from my ATAS 120A. How is the Little Tar Heel handling freeway speeds? Not that I ever get to go overly fast on interstate 5.

The antenna holds up on freeways. I usually end up removing the antenna for I go into garages and I know I would damage the antenna.

That would be a Wise choice. The ATAS Is a POS & fills up with water when it rains.

I would like to see just how you installed the LT HP ... I just did mine today (230828) and found the "instructions" to be grossly inadequate... as were the Diamond K400 instructions.

You know you can use a longer whip on the little Tarheel 2. Yes I have added one and done this at 70mph

Remove the number 2 from the video title. The little tarheel 2 and the little tarheel HP are two different antennas
