All these scenes were my spot lighting on cast. Really enjoyed working on this movie. I was based on a tower scaffold whilst these scenes were filmed below me . Took about 3 days in total. Jane horrocks was lovely as was Michael Caine and Brenda blethyn. Any info please ask.

Fantastic film, Jane Horrocks 's voice incredible, Michael Caine his usual great, but Brenda Blethyn (Our Vera) outstanding. A local lass. However no one beats Jane Horrocks in this film. Thank you everyone.

She should have been nominated for an Oscar! And Judi Dench should have won for Mrs Brown a couple of years before so they didn’t need to give her the best supporting actress this year so Brenda Blethyn should have won it instead!

+antpoo71 Ewan was awsome, having been a transporting fan it was great chatting to him about that, further i asked what he was doing after this movie and advised he was the next obi wan, How cool was that. Annette was very kind and well spoken and played a great character. Brenda was so nice it was unreal.So down to earth and at the wrap party i chatted with her lots about the years she has worked and gone un noticed. Any other info?

Mary Spence hi Mary, I'm not sure on that one. Was so much fun working on this movie. JANE actually didn't sing live during recording although she looked like she did. There was a huge recording desk pumping out the music. My director told me I needed to make sure at all times to keep spotlight mid waist height upwards. Was tricky at times when moving people beneath scaffold tower and also cast moving. Was such tension when Micheal Caine filmed as he hated singing and was very nervous during his song " its over" He did it in two takes that was your lot basically. The poor singing coach was upset as he was quite harsh with her. Anyway. Great movie.

360 Fov yeah he hadn’t really done much singing in front of camera and he felt silly doing it but he really over emphasised the act which he got away with.

I repeat, yes a great performer when on stage, but a big PITA in normal life. And that daddy in the audience thing, consider the LV body language for the MM song!

Actually this movie is pretty bad. Jane Horrocks' singing, the only good thing about the film, is mostly presented in short, abbreviated clips. The director seemed to think that her singing was the least important part. The movie should have let her sing.

This Film were absolutely Perfect and Dazzling. It is not any great wonder that the Film Won a great many Awards indeed. Rather. The Film is possibly my favourite English Film of all.

i just can't stand this woman. i'm sorry, but in my opinion, she always plays herself...yes, she alters her voice a bit, but not in a way that i could see her as a character...the only thin she was REALLY good in, was as bubbles! that one i could take seriously even if it was completely silly. but all the other stuff she did...meh...

well from what i have heard and read she's not a nice person, rude, insulting, pampered. Plenty of interview where the interviewers didn't like her at all, don't like her comments, and such. I've heard that even decades ago. She seemed cute and awesome as Bubble in her tv series, but maybe got a little complex after that.
