@@TomoFujitaMusic Is there a reason you choose the knob instead of a volume pedal for swells? In my experience you cut off fewer notes since your right hand isn't picking and working a knob at the same time. Amazing playing!!!

Thank you so much! I have a few volume pedal but you can not make that quick sound like a volume knob. So I had to choose loose volume pot. Kanji Kawabata makes loose one for volume and tighter one for tone pot. @@markowalski1

Tomo is a great player and Oz Noy? Well what can I say? He's got fire!! I had the pleasure of meeting Oz in Nashville and he hung out with me and my daughter (who was very young at the time and had no clue who he was!!!) and what a nice guy that you could talk to!! I told him I had followed him since his first album that he sent me from his NYC apartment!!! And from that album to now he's been a monster player ever since!!! And Tomo is also amazing!! I learn and continue to learn from many players on KZbin and Tomo Fujita is one of them!! BTW Oz was there to meet and play at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville with Brent Mason a good friend of mine whom I also have learned so much from!!! Well, time for another lesson!!! Happy New Year everyone!!

Played in a band for years that played this song, so I’ve heard it a LOT. I think this was the most original and musical take I’ve heard since Hendrix. Understated, original note choice. Specifically the section around 3:10 with those chords. You’re not pretending to be Hendrix, or SRV, you’re being yourself. Gorgeous and original!

Love how oz stated the melody at the top of his solo. Really smart thing to do on LW as its easy to get lost in the “changes” that dont really “change” until the very end when it mods down to Fmaj for a bar. Then they both kinda play jimis solo at the end with the derek and the dominoes ending phrase. Killin. And tomo volume swell stuff! Killlin.

Volume swells with the use of vibrato on your notes at the same time. Really fills out the soundstage. It's a virtual Wah-Wah pedal effect you created. Was waiting on you to step on a valve overdrive gain pedal and cut sick with the later soloing (Maybe next time) Your clean tone is cleaner than sparkling glass Tomo. *Nice performance* 🎸 ☮ ✌
