This is magic! I didn't see labor added. When adding the industry standard pricing model, what did 4 and 1.5 represent? Thank you for your great video.

This is such an awesome question for clarity! (And a super specific reason why I find the traditional formula SUPER confusing 🤨). For weddings + events, the most common math equation taught is Wholesale x 3.5-4 + 30-50% premium. You can see there is a bit of a "sliding scale" here so in this particular example, I chose to go with 4 x wholesale and then an additional 30% premium as the labour markup. So, then in the spreadsheet, the formula is written as follow =(C19 x 4)*1.3

So the price for one bouquet like that is about $300? Do they say WHY for weddings + events the formula is to multiply it by 4? Why wouldn’t it be $53 per bouquet?
@987654321mnbv Жыл бұрын
@@rachaeljackson3759The 4 includes extra expenses like rent, utilities, gas, cleaning supplies, etc. For an average florist, every dollar spent on flowers would require 2-3 dollars in extra expenses.

How do you buy just .4 of a bunch of flowers? Don’t you usually have to buy a whole growers bunch? Or are you assuming you’ll use the extra flowers in other parts of the wedding/event?
@LittleBirdBloom4 жыл бұрын
Great question!!! In this instance I’m assuming you’ll be able to use the rest of the bunch elsewhere. 😘

My question is how do you know how much you need to put of flowers in a vase? What if you go over board or make the arrangement too small for the client. Do you offer them sizes? This is regarding bouquets and centerpieces
@LittleBirdBloom7 ай бұрын
One thing I started doing to get the hang of this is to limit the number of different vases I offered my clients (that way it's easier to know what's going to look good each time out). With that, I did up a 'test' arrangement in each container so that I could know how many stems of what sorts of flowers I needed to make 'em look good. And then you can price your designs based on that stem count + container 🌸
