Matchbox Traction Engine Makeover

Here is a video, showing how you can refurbish the old Matchbox / Lesney models of their Traction Engine, in order to use them on a model railway. The technique is quite simple, and effective, and gives new life to these old models. I hope it inspires you to have a go yourself, and enhance your own model railway. The middle green one without driver is the nicest. The Maroon is over-painted. Nice job.

That is a cool matchbox, I haven't seen that model before. The ziti pasta in the smoke box is an odd touch though.

This is look like Trevor the traction engine and I think this is his basis.

Do you strip the paint back and prep them before painting. As the paint job is too thick on the maroon one. And you missed a few spots here and there. But nice all the same.
