I learned from a Chinese American tea-seller once that you don’t want your tea water to boil. Only heat it to just before a boil. The boiling water kills any vitamins might be in the tea (for example vitamin C is in many teas) and also boiling the water eliminates any beneficial oxygen molecules that are in the water. ☺️

Even though I am getting older, and all the pains that go with it, I try not to complain….getting old is a Grace and a gift, for not everyone gets older as you stated. More time to have a greater relationship with my Lord, growing closer to Him….

I Blessed you Emily in JESUS name and prayed for your sweet heart, ❤ for your words to be changed from “ and all the pains that go with it “ TO… “ and all the possibilities You will provide this day”. I remember the movie of Pollyanna that starred Hayley Mills and the “ Glad game” that got on so many people’s nerves. But her joy changed the lives about her. We can all get off course when a pitcher’s ball goes awry and is headed right for us. But then, when fixed with eyes back on GOD we come back aligned and in His Shalom, ready to go again. I am right up there with you. I am just turned 72 but I still remain with the mind of my 30’s determined to stay with youthful thinking, only better. Much love from my heart to yours, all the way from Perth, West Australia. ( Listen for the birdsong. Their Heavenly Father feeds them but you are of much more worth.) 🌺🪺🐦⬛🌺

We have recently decided to cut back on a lot of the extr things our children do. We are ok with our kids doing activities, but it was just too much, and I saw the toll it was taking on my children. I've been told "but they will be so sad" or "they will miss out." Miss out on being so burnout that they are falling asleep in the car on the way home before 7pm? No, they will not miss that. That is not a priority in life. We've made moves to prioritize spending time with family, either in our home or in my grandmother's home, with a slower rhythm.

What a lovely video. All so totally true. Alarms, phones, doorbells, loud noises all affect me negatively and I really dislike them, but starting the day with news or social media isn’t good either. This is amazing timing! I just had this conversation with a work friend who also doesn’t use a clock/alarm, unless of course there is a plane to catch etc., but I haven’t had any clock in my bedroom for about 15 years. My nervous system needs to heal,and that jarring alarm wasn’t helping. Because of current chronic illness, I usually go to bed early, and I wake early. Because of your lovely suggestion in another video, I made myself coffee and used my beeswax candle and had about an hour of prayer time this morning. I forgot how much I love candlelight, and the slowness it encourages. I am so blessed by your channel, Lea. Thank you!😊

The alarm clock thing is super real. I've tried different models, but I noticed that at some point just the thought of being jerked awake was stressing me out. After some digging, I bought a vintage Now & Zen alarm clock from ebay, and it gradually wakes me over the course of 10 min with soothing acoustic chimes. It's a world of difference. It won't even startle my cat, and I start my day feeling so much more at ease. Worth the investment 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Thank you for these reminders. I do recognize how easy it is to let comments and negative thoughts bring you down. It reminded me that in Matthew 6:33 we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. And that verse is right after Jesus telling us not to worry about what we will wear, etc. so waking up and starting our day thanking Him for rest and life is truly glorifying God and yes starting your day focused on the grace we’ve been given. And I had to admit it made me smile to know your two dogs play fight because mine do that all the time and usually your dogs seem so chill and calm. 😊 Have a great weekend.

I still share a room with our 2 yr old daughter. (Until the loft is completely finished for all 3 of our kid's) and both her and I absolutely hate any kind of light when we are sleeping. We use a noise machine and I have to cover the light up because we just like it pitch black. Absolutely no clocks in the room too. Thankfully we homeschool and no need for alarm clocks. We wake up to the rooster's cockadoodling every morning. 😂 Sometimes I do think about setting some sort of alarm so I will get up at least an hour before everyone else, but then that thought goes away 😂😂😂😂. I much prefer the slow awakening in the morning. Plus my daughter's wining and talking in her sleep keeps me awake most nights. That too shall pass someday. ❤❤❤

It is sad that we have all had to live in a society that forces us to wake up suddenly like that. Interesting alarm clock that you have. It's pretty, that's for sure. I like not having a clock in my room. Your hair has grown a lot this year. it is almost as long as mine now (and I am I think the same height as you...if you are 5'9") Looks great. I feel so discouraged, I could cry. I feel anxious, tired, and irritable often. I’m too tired to get up before my 5 children, so they jar me awake every day (I love them with all my heart and am not complaining that they wake me up). I try to adjust our food continually but it’s so expensive for 7 people- my beautiful growing children eat so much. Food affects me so much but I keep making mistakes and making myself feel worse. I also don’t have encouragement around me- my immediate family and neighbors eat toxic food, and are always trying to give it to my family. I’m grateful for the food, but so sad and feel defeated bc the help I get makes my family and I worse off instead of better. I’m sorry to vent 😔 please pray for us. ❤
@LittleHouseOnTheMountainАй бұрын
Please don't apologize for venting. You have a full plate sis! Raising 5 children is such an important and beautiful but full time job. It's not wrong to have normal human feelings and to say that you are frustrated or tired. I obviously don't have experience with that myself but I have multiple friends with 5 plus children, and I think you all are super heros... truly! I know that they always talk about prioritizing being an ingredient only household and buying in bulk. I'm sure that's easier for some people than others. I also have a friend who said mornings were chaotic and started slowly implementing a quiet morning rule where the children were allowed to do certain things in the morning If they woke up before a certain time, but they can't be loud or start immediately demanding things. ( I would also imagine the ease of this transition would vary with ages) It sounds like to have a heart to do so right by your family and I think that is so beautiful. Don't feel guilty about having normal emotions, the world isn't a supportive place anymore and we don't have the type of family and community support intended for women. I do wish I could give you a big hug and pour you a cup of tea, hang in there.

HEALING ERA: I would really like to buy your healing course, but I’m wondering how you added colostrum, bone broth, and other gut healing foods when you had histamine issues? I have leaky gut but can’t use any of those traditional healers due to high histamine and mast cell issues. I’m not sure I would be able to use any of your recipes. Do you address this in your videos?
@LittleHouseOnTheMountain2 ай бұрын
Hey! So, my program is designed to help people peel back the layers of their own journey and figure out what they need to do in their individual situation to stop the sickness cycle. For my histamine issues, I increased my intake of DAO enzyme producing compounds to kick start my bodies ability to process histamine better. I found colostrum and beef kidney capsules to be most helpful for this. People with histamine issues who can't drink bone broth often find that meat stock (which cooks much quicker) is very easy to process and doesn't set off the issues.

Hi Lea. I need help with my order. I paid $14 for a download and just tried to get back into it and it comes up saying forbidden. How can I find out how to view the download?

how did you cope as a model, not liking lights and noises?

Not super well 😂 I would often get migraines or other bad symptoms 😕

just curious, how did you shift out of the modeling industry philosophically? So per what seems to be your personality, it almost seems like you were doing the modeling against your nature, yet you still pursued it. At the time, why did you choose it if so much of what it required went against your nature and personality? And when did you pin point that who you are truly didn't mesh with that industry (aside from the moral considerations) and that it was making you hurt and sick? was it a slow shift? or a jolting shocking realiziation?

$80 is a lot of money for an alarm clock 😯
@LittleHouseOnTheMountain2 ай бұрын
@@abbyp8102 well, if you use it everyday for years, I suppose to some people it's an investment as it's much more than an alarm clock. There's also a discount code for my viewers 😊
