What's really weird about this duel being broadcast world wide is that this is a world in which professional dueling exists and is a thing people care about. That's like the NFL being interrupted to bring you high school football. You just know some dude somewhere was like, "Alright! I finally have a day off and Aster Phoenix is about to duel... what the hell? Duel Academy? Where is my Pro Dueling League?!" He then angrily throws his remote through his tv screen.

He's kind of the comic-relief anti-hero of the series. And you cant help but love him because he's this extremely confident, (albeit sometimes obnoxious) person who has a soft spot and a catchy slogan. "Chazz it up!" But then I look at your stuff, and no matter if it's the first YGOTAS episode from 13 years ago, or this new episode of this series from 1 day ago, you never fail to actually make me laugh out loud multiple times per video. Something I just realized watching you review this LittleKuriboh, is that I think I finally understand why episodes 24-26 were younger me’s favorite episodes of GX when I watched it back in like, middle of something. It’s the fact that we get a lot of backstory for Chaz in addition to development. We kinda understand why he acted like a shit earlier. He always feels stressed and pressured by his older brothers and presumably the rest of his family as well. So when he started at Duel Academy as an Obelisk Blue, he felt like he was finally living up to some stuff expectations, and he was desperate to stay at a level he felt he belonged and needed to belong to. And we get to see that however short Chaz’s time at North Academy has been, it has changed him. Because now, he’s practicing what he preaches. Pre-North Academy Chaz would have taken those cards from his brothers to rebuild his deck in a heartbeat. Post-North Academy Chaz is not going to resort to what he views as cheap tricks like he did back when he accepted Crowlers cards and threw Bastion’s deck in the water. Hell, I think the only reason that Chaz is using the cards North Academy gave him is because he feels like he owes it to Foster. And it’s so weird to finally, finally, after years realize why Chaz became my favorite character in this show.

That is a good description of Chazz's character I must say, now even though he still acted arrogant even after this duel he acted A LOT more respectful towards his cards and friends with a little dose of insults from time to time but not like when he was pre-school duel Chazz and it was all because after the duel and after all the insults Jaden still stood up against him towards his brothers. I think that was the moment Chazz really changed his ways as Jaden made him realized that he doesn't need to live up to his brothers or any one's expectations, just chill and be who he really is. Even when Chazz was brain-washed and became part of the Society of Light he didn't fully acted like his puppet still hanging out with his friends and talk to them like they were still his friends. LK does bring up good points to not like Jaden but to his credit, Jaden is good at standing up to people when they believe they are in a un-fair or shit situation because of someone else that in one duel and one stand up for Chazz, he changed the way Chazz feels for that. Showed major development and respect out of that one moment.

I actually thought that Chazz pretty much had his family's money backing him up this whole time up to duel academy. Like his entire life he's relied on his brothers' money and pull to get ahead in life. He probably should have had rare cards from the start rather than just get them from Crowler though to emphasize the point that he's rich and using his family's name rather than using his own mind into things. And then once he tried to run away with that boat and stranded himself and wound up on North Academy he gained perspective and the joke in Japanese of "What's at the bottom is the bottom" was born and he acknowledges the perspective that can be seen from the "bottom" I do kinda wish he had more wins and wasn't left to conclude his development in the final season, but I do like Chazz/Manjoume more than I did previously (And even back in the English dub I did like him when he was rocking that black jacket and using the Ojamas)

This was actually the episode that made me give up on Jaden as the protagonist. There's no reason to root for him here, nothing at stake at all. Not compared to Chazz, who's literally going to be disowned by his family if he loses this duel. Looking back on GX through this review series, I'm starting to see a lot of hints about Jaden in the later series, especially about his "flaw" season 3 (being purposefully vague to avoid spoiling). I just realized something. Chazz's brothers didn't give him Armed Dragon Level 7 but they did give him Armed Dragons Levels 3 and 5 then why would they give him them if they weren't going to give him the highest level one. That has always confused me once I started thinking about it.
