Let's talk about how I color, wash, and style my hair at 65. Supplements and Collegan Powder and more. I did a search for my own channel and saw the drop-down menu box showed me the majority of people were searching about info on my hair...so here it is! I have learned so much this year about my hair...and I have not been to a salon in 6 months....so this has been a journey! Please share your own tips below on how you take care of your own lovely hair for a mature woman!

That man is someone’s son, brother, father. Something happened to change his life. My brother is homeless due to his mental illness. Nothing our family can say or do will keep him off the street. Just heart broken because he is not a loser just lost.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ramona for telling us about your brother....you are so brilliant to point out that the singing soul in the park is indeed someones' son....someone's everything at one time...and the hymns he sings must have a history of faith that somehow became elusive perhaps...nobody can judge or know...we can only try to help as best we can...and one way I think we can help is to change hearts and minds that looking at life as " winners and losers" is pointless and does not serve our goodness or humanity. Hi Seus and Desi...your compassion and sensitivity are always there in your soul no matter where you are or what you’re doing each day. 💕Always love your beginning music, filming and stories...but today, you reminded me that I think I need a “Me Day”... We used to have those for our 6 kids as they were growing up... only one child for that day. No siblings...no school...a special day for just that one child, to spend a day with us or on an outing somewhere. But Today I think it’s my turn! I’ve been spending too much time outside in our extreme heat this past week, gardening projects, filming, checking up on my claustrophobic cat, Shamu, who refuses to come inside!! That coconut hair treatment sounds great and I might take a break and just sit inside all day smeared in coconut oil and reading a good book. Big hugs to you and Des! Fondly, Nanny💕🐶

One day your neighbor may come to a crossroads in her life where she will need a wonderful caring person to show her these human traits that was lacking in her life. It's very sad that your neighbor made such a callous comment. If not for the grace of God, it could be any of us. That man more than likely has more depth than anyone could imagine. The fact that he can still sing, although he's homeless, speaks volumes. I would choose to be more like him...

That man in the park who sings so lovely has meant so much to me...the park is really the only place I can go to see people...as as I walk around I have my camera, but I don't make people happy like he does. Desi makes many people happy..they love to pet him and call his name....but I remember one day this man was singing a hymn and it brought tears to my eyes....I asked a lady standing by me what song that was and she said " I think he makes it up on the spot" and SHE had tears in her eyes. From that moment on I started looking for him when I go there. Do you think things happen for a reason? Sometimes I truly do believe that perhaps there are angels that appear to help us when we are on our last legs....Love to you always, Susan & Desi

@@LittlePoet I do believe that things happen for a reason. The man who sings may be an angel. I had a homeless man who was elderly ask me to buy him some food one day. He was in bad shape. The bridge of his nose looked like it had skin cancers that were bleeding. He said, "Honey, I'm so hungry." My heart just broke. I bought him some food, & he was so grateful. I left with tears in my eyes. Later on, as I reflected on our interaction, I wondered if he was an angel. I was feeling very low in spirit that day. Although my eyes were filled with tears, I felt such peace after that. I believe there are angels among us.

Oh Susan, we’ve all been “lost souls” at some point in our life. Being found is a choice or a surprise! The world is pretty harsh right now and you are a gentle soul to make it a bit better. I am so envious of your hair and how you do it and have been wishing you would do a segment on just your hair. A little kindness and compassion goes a long way. We only pass this way but once. Well done with the hair do Susan It’s very pretty. I haven’t been to a salon since January. One side effect of the lockdown was embracing the grey. Oh the freedom it brings is great. I’m loving it & the condition of my hair is so much better since I stopped colouring it. I’ve started using Biotin also.

It's so kind and perceptive of you to not film this man. It would probably upset him. It's tragic and the solutions are so complex because we're talking about individuals, not everyone has the same story. Regarding hair, I am letting my silver grow and while it is a process, I'm enjoying it. My hair is thicker than ever and I think (for me) the coloring was causing problems. When I heard "a loser", my breath caught in my throat. How utterly cruel. I pray for the beautiful singing soul in the park. As an aside, dogs do better with harnesses. If they pull against a collar for long, they tend to suffer with neck problems (arthritis) later in life. Take care Susan and Desi.

Your video reminded me of a man I saw yesterday, I felt for him. He was hunched over his walker, his wrists were bandaged up and he looked like he was destitute and homeless. I wish I had turned our car around and gone and talked to him. He seemed like he could use a friend even for a few minutes. I'll be back that way in a few weeks and I will look for him again, if I don't see him I will ask the locals if they know of him. I feel bad and sad that I didn't stop, that I didn't turn around and seek him out. Thank you for sharing a day in your's and Desi's life. Stay bless beautiful lady.

You are the sweetest person I've come across in a long time. You and Desi are something I now look forward to every Saturday morning when I get up. I'm on my own at 61 with my two dogs. I'm letting my ex boyfriend live here for a bit because he lost his house but he's my ex because of his gambling. I couldn't let him be homeless though. It's a shame. We spent 16 years together. But, now I'm lonely in my own house so I have to think of things to do and we have this way of interacting but not interacting. I would be looking for the lost soul, too. I cant imagine being homeless and mentally ill. There but by the Grace of God go I. I use Lanza shampoo and conditioner for blondes then after my shower I have heat protection and a trauma serum. It's working for me and it's all by Lanza. Your hair looks beautiful! I don't know what we'd do without ac!!! It stays in the 90s for weeks. You are such a joy. Have a great week Susan!

What a rude person your neighbor is. I can't stand it when people judge and think the homeless are inferior. I'll bet if she was on the street for one day, and I doubt she'll be singing at all. That gal that called the singer a loser? I think she's the loser. We used to have a guy around my complex that sang like that just singing away as he was walking along. Some people don't know a troubador when they hear one. He had a great voice and that was his daily gift to us. He doesn't come around anymore. I miss him. Gosh Susan you have such patience with your hair.. It's working. Your hair looks great. Love to see the Dez doing his pilates stretches and running with such joy. That's his special gift to us. Loved the video, another perfect way to start my day!! Ive been using Clairol "Frost and Glow" and I love it! $7....over $120 !! saves alot of money!! John Frieda is my favorite too! The park is so pretty....but I think I saw Desi in poison ivy.....Im highly allergic to it ....Im always on the watch for it here, be careful, its miserable and takes so long to heal.....hope you have a beautiful week Susan!!! Oh, I'm so happy I found your channel. I love your beautiful spirit & soul. Love your sweet Desi. That's so scary about her reaction to her rabies shot. I had a kitty that I took to my vets to have his yearly 4-way feline shot & he started to go into anaphylactic shock so they quickly gave him an injection of either a steroid or benadryl & he came out of it. I'm very glad Desi eventually regained her mobility. I love, love, love, all animals. I'm 66 years young & gave been alone for 5 years after divorcing my husband of 30 years. It about killed me. I will never be able to trust the male gender again. I subscribed & am looking forward to watching your channel. Getting older isn't for sissies. I think it is very difficult especially for women. You're beautiful. Thank you for sharing your hair tips & nutritional vitamins/supplements. Very informative. loved it. You're beautiful.

I love how you look at life Susan and we should all learn to do the same. To see the beauty in everything. In the SF Bay Area there are a lot of homeless y people. People get annoyed and I get it.
