Hes VERY admirable. It's tough for some guys to truly mature.....(I speak from experience lol) but Het had it really.....really really tough. And he didnt really have the safety net and support of parents. And hes a rock star so...the temptations were always around, compounding the struggle...and he has the darkness. Everybody knows about that. But he did it. And he survived. Most admirable and deserving of great praise.

Yeaah, bring on Chuck Billy if he's down for an interview! They won for a video at the Native American Music Awards a few years back, 2012? Cool video. People kind of criticized them early on for being copycat Metallababies, but you could say that of most early 80s thrash. Any time there's a forerunner in a genre, all bands take a little time to find their comparative stride and sound. And at the time, one could choose the vein of Slayer or Metallica. Death went the Slayer route. Sepultura and Testament sort of went the Metallica vein via more punk influence.

Songs like Outlaw Torn, Bleeding Me, Until It Sleeps, Frayed etc etc for me personally always seemed to be an attempt to try to deal with this absolute trauma that James' experienced and never managed to deal with ... but thats just me.
