@vinaymulukutla358 Жыл бұрын
This is one of the most interesting interviews not only because it was done when they were so young with just two albums out and just getting started but also the fact that James in comparison to Lars hardly says a word yet he's the frontman, principal songwriter (together with Lars) and the primary lyricist. It shows how introverted and reserved by nature James is and he's always been that way. He could also be a bit tired and just wanting a bit of rest but James is known for being very reserved and guarded. Yet he's an absolute beast on stage. Lars on the other hand is a total motormouth who is the spokesperson for the band and loves the spotlight. Often the most flamboyant performers are actually very introverted and reserved as we have seen with Freddie Mercury. Metallica remain the world ambassadors of heavy metal together with Iron Maiden today.

You're telling me. I don't think any other metal bands from that thrash metal crop ever wrote anything as compelling, dynamic and multi-faceted as Fade To Black. Hmmm are you sure beeing happy they met? It says a band is only as good as the drummer. Of course metallica wouldn't be the same without him. But sometimes I wish they had a real beast Behind the drums or at least someone who s famialire by playing double bass.

@@InRiquiem Honey, metallica wouldnt exist without Lars. Also literally listen to any of the videos theyve been dropping on yt lately. He's a beast.

@@chlochlo742 oh c'mon. Are u serious? Visit a doctor or wash your fokin eyes! His drumming got worse since the last 20 years. Everybody knows that. And by the way.. Hetfield wrote the songs and the riffs. Ulrich is not a. Messiah or something.

They mention a really important distinction between them and most metal bands up until then which was they took to the stage in ordinary clothes rather than costume/leathers, and they didn't sing about the devil.. It was a big part of their rough and ready more "street" appeal.
