I've drank huel for a little over a year and have gotten used to the taste and texture. I can say its a nice supplement meal that I use 2 or 3x a day but I always have at least one meal thats real food. So far I feel fine

Panda Mao that’s a similar sort of plan to mine - I’ve been absolutely fine after a bit of gas for the first couple of days - I think the problem is when people use it for every meal and start it straight away!

I really like Huel as I enjoy nutrition and the idea of having all the essential nutrients in one "drink" is very enticing to me. It also helps with time management too. I already really like oats/porridge and I eat it very often, and I feel it's a really good replacement for my morning porridge, and actually has more of the "good stuff" in it than just oats, soy milk and banana. I also find Huel is MUCH better with fruit blended in it. I don't mind the texture again as I find mealy food okay, but fruit makes the texture quite pleasant and the taste is definitely more palatable.

Thanks for reviewing this product from a realistic stand point. I've seen adverts for Huel for years now but have always been timid to buy it and try for myself. Used your referral code and worked out to be cheaper than expected (£56 for 3 bags, a t-shirt, a mixer and 10 flavour sachets if anyone's curious of pricing and cba checking themselves) - Which the website said is roughly 50 meals. Top job

My personal conclusion: It’s better than fast food for the cost. It’s convenient. If you’re into fitness, you can measure calories easier. I’d spend $8-$10 bucks on a meal in the street while Huel gives me 14 serving for ~$30/bag. You can store it.

Cheers for the referral code. Got my first order in for £35 for 2 bags. Worth a try at that price. Tempted by the hot and savoury but it’s just so expensive for what it is. It’s essentially £50 for 21 meals…. I can get fresh soup type things with lentils and all sorts for £2 from Tesco so I can actually get what’s probably a more complex meal for less which is a shame. If they ever get the price down I’ll give that a go. Shame you can’t re use the referral code 😂

@@LittleTipple I track my calories now and my macros and the white huel had too many carbs but the black one is a decent mix of protein to carbs so I have one for breakfast every day in the week. I mostly have a hot and savoury for lunch now too in the week because it just makes calculating what I've eaten and what I haven't really easy. I've dropped a stone in 8 weeks (and I wasn't exactly huge. I was 14 stone 6. I' mow 13 stone 6) BUT that's with checking all my other macros really carefully and training 4 times a week and walking twice a day so it's not like Huel was the magic bullet that did it but it does make those two meals really easy to calculate and prep for. I snack around it too but again, it just makes it easier to get those 800 in

I am still using it - I think it depends on how you're using it - if you're going "pure huel" they recommend more meals closer together, but for me, I feel full after my breakfast and lunch, i tend to have my lunch at 1, and then I eat a late dinner - 8-9ish. By that time I'm normally pretty hungry, but that seems to be a good thing. Hope that helps, but let me know if you need any other info!

Been thinking about switching from huel from soylent and this has been super helpful. With Soylent original, I just put a squeeze of one of those water bottle sweeteners liquids in it (Orange works great) which turns it from bland to delicious. Curious if this method would taste alright with the plain or vanilla Huel.
@LittleTipple5 жыл бұрын
Do you know, I have no idea... might have to try that... I’m not sure I’d try orange with it, but that’s just me - the flavour is slightly porridgey, and I wouldn’t put orange on porridge either, but the theory would work... I think I’d go with a berry flavour first. The theory is sound though - how sweet are the sweeteners...? Vanilla is quite sweet already, so it may work better with the plain Huel. Hi Antonio, I'm so sorry for my slow reply - i replied through the app, but it doesn't seem like it worked! 3 scoops is equivalent to one meal, or at least, that's how i use it. 34 meals should be about 100 scoops, so 34 meals should last you 17 days if you use it the same way I did (breakfast and lunch) or 11 days if you got for all three. Some people choose to go for 4 meals of 2 scoops through the day too, so you can play with it and see what works for you!

Tried to use you as a reference but it is saying that they have a lot of Bens and were asking for an email. Oh well....

If you haven’t checked out yet, the email address is ben underscore Matthews at mac dot com, if that makes sense...?

@@LittleTipple Hey Ben! I tried to use your name and ur email address but they keep saying me "These details don’t match anyone who has signed up to refer their friends by name." :( Anyways, thank you for this review! :)

Has the coffee one got caffeine in it?
@LittleTipple3 жыл бұрын
Yep - a quick google shows me it's got about 90mg of caffeine, about as much as a normal cup of coffee (if there is any such thing as a "normal" cup)

Hi Ben. Thank you for the discount! I was emailed my code. However, the huel website is asking for your email address to identify which Ben Matthews I'm referring to. Could you please share your email?

This is not a normal person's review...this is a youtuber's review. But it confirms my fears,just another calorie restricted diet,of course you ll lose weight,when you go back to eating normal,you ll re gain the weight and a little more. Stay away from these junk,eat properly AND EXERCISE physical activity...simple.

Giovanni Socci could you explain where the difference lies...?
@LittleTipple5 жыл бұрын
Ok, you’ve added to your comment now. You’re right of course, less calories in than burnt results in weight loss, and this is a calorie restricted diet. It doesn’t present itself as anything else. However, perhaps making your own video to address these issues is a good idea, rather than laying into someone else’s views...?

@LittleTipple4 жыл бұрын
jonas cooper yep - if you sign up for Huel, you’ll also get a referral code with your name - it’s the way they encourage referrals for anyone that purchases from them. As I said, it’s not sponsored, I have no official affiliation with Huel, I just thought it might be nice to give people £10 off their order - I get £10 off my order in return, but can only use one per order, so they just end up backing up and expiring. Thanks for your comment!

Little Tipple I’ve never heard of a personal referral code given to someone who is not sponsored
@LittleTipple4 жыл бұрын
jonas cooper I’d be breaking KZbin’s guidelines if I was sponsored and not making it clear. I also have a personal referral code for the guys I get coffee from, from Gousto, and HelloFresh - many company’s are starting to do it, and the only reason my name is in it, is to identify that it’s my code - as I say, if you were to sign up, you’d see you’d get the same thing, but you’ll see a lot of people using codes with their names in. If you don’t want to use it, that’s not a problem at all, but I’m not sure why you think I’d lie about it, when doing that would be a strike against me from KZbin...?

Anyone that orders can refer someone and gets the same deal. My mate takes heya and I wanted to try, new year new me and all that and I used his name to get discount and he got discount of his next order.
