They are the perfect team 👍 The kitchen is the heart ❤️ of the home. She's very skilled and her experience shows thru she's definitely not a novice her love 💕 is constant she makes a good home for her husband.💕 reminds me of the bible verse I came across years ago it goes like this.. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands.

Renae, I love watching you, it reminds me so very much of me Nana, in looks, build, voice, and cooking knowledge. She was of pioneer stock- Scots-English, and knew her way around a cast iron anything better than anyone I have ever met. At 72, it is nice to see her again, whilst watching you just whip through it all. ♥

I save all those containers too...I just can't see throwing them out when they're still usable, especially with food being so expensive now. But when they're no longer useful, I have no problem throwing them away. I've amassed quite a collection of "tupperware" without spending an extra dime, lol. Your recipes today look so good! I had already had breakfast, but I can prep them and freeze individual portions for later on. I'm glad you talked about your mom's whisk. I'm going to see if I can find one similar. I think it might work better for mixing eggs, dressings, and other things in smaller quantities than the larger whisks I have now. I really enjoyed this video - as I do all of them! Thank you for sharing your recipes, helpful hints and ideas, and time. Though I'm not currently in treatment, having undergone both radiation and chemo in the past three years, my tastes have changed and it's often difficult to figure out what I might enjoy and then actually find energy enough to put it together (A recent back injury has also forced me to modify how I do things to hopefully avoid another surgery), but everything you fix looks so good, I just have to try it! It always seems doable because you talk about and show how to "fix it now and cook it later". I appreciate you more than I can tell you! Wishing you and your family a wonderfully blessed 2023!

Not sure if you’ll see this comment as this is an older video… I was wondering if you could make some tutorials regarding your food dehydrator? I know you have shared a lot about your freeze dryer but unfortunately that’s out of my budget. I do have a dehydrator but I’ve never used it as I’m just not sure how to or what foods I can dehydrate. I know you’re up to your elbows in summertime market stand work and tending your garden so it’s ok if you don’t have time right away. Maybe this fall or winter when things slow down a little? Anyhow thanks for all you do share and thank you for your kind heart and how you share so much with your community. ❤

Hi renew, I love your videos. The problem I have is I’m from England and we don’t have half the things you do, for example hash browns, here they are premixed and preformed into patties, can you tell me if your hash browns are just grated potatoes that I can make myself? Keep up the great work ❤
@LittleVillageHomestead
@LittleVillageHomestead 11 ай бұрын
Yes, you can make your own hash browns. Shred your potatoes and just blanch them for a minute or two and once coold make sure to squeeze out as much liquid as you can. Lay them out on a sheet pan and freeze once frozen you can transfer them to a ziplock bag and place them back in the freezer and you will have some wonderful hashbrown potatoes to use in many dishes. I hope this helps.

Do those containers of potatoes say dehydrated and to soak them in what to hydrate them I've never seen them before ever I've seen where they have them like that that you use in different recipes where your would add it in something and I guess the liquid on the mix will cook them or well hydrate them and heat them pf course .but I never knew of those before when we renew our Sam's club membership this month I'm definitely getting some of those that's really really cool and I love hasbrowns and that's a very easy way to cook them for sure thank you for all your recipes in this video well thank you for all the recipes you show us in all of your videos .....

Good morning Ms. Renee (sp?). With all the news about food shortages coming in the new year (2023), what do you suggest for someone who lives alone and does not do canning or dehydration, and has a small pantry they bought at Wal-Mart. You need to go out and buy yourself a boat oar to mix your big batches of food. 😄🛶
@LittleVillageHomestead
@LittleVillageHomestead Жыл бұрын
Oh that is too funny a boat oar. 🤣🤣. Stock up on good filler food, beans. rice, pasta. Get extra when the canned good sales are on. I am not really sure I believe that lady Menker who keeps claiming were running out of food. She has been wrong so far. But still it is a good thing to stock up so start by stocking items you like to eat. store them where ever you have some room.

@Little Village Homestead you are right, we are not running out of food. I should have worded that differently. There's going to be a shortage of aluminum, and wheat because of what's on in the world, not the foods.

The first thing I would do with the Hashbrown Casserole recipe is cut the butter in half. That's way too much butter. There's butter in the soup and then you add 1 cup more per batch. That's a heart attack waiting for a place to happen!! You can't cut the carbs but you can definitely cut the fat. The milk in the soup could be skim or low fat, cut the butter in half and the change wouldn't even be noticed in the final result. You could also cut the amount of cheese in half without notice. Use low fat sour cream (or better yet 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 greek yogurt). You are so loved! My husband and I were married 42 years before he passed and we dated for 3 years prior to that. I can count on one hand the number of times he gave me flowers and not use all the digits. 🙂
