In January 2000 I was 12 yo and me and my family just moved from Germany to the US. At the end of the very first day of school, I sat in that yellow school bus waiting for the other kids to hop in so we could go home. And this song was playing loudly on the radio. Everything felt so surreal, being in this different culture, seeing these american kids looking so cool and confident hopping one by one on the bus.
