In January 2000 I was 12 yo and me and my family just moved from Germany to the US. At the end of the very first day of school, I sat in that yellow school bus waiting for the other kids to hop in so we could go home. And this song was playing loudly on the radio. Everything felt so surreal, being in this different culture, seeing these american kids looking so cool and confident hopping one by one on the bus. This song has stuck with me and allows me to access these precious emotions I felt at that time 25 years ago.

I used to go to the movie theater with all my neighborhood friends to watch them and we were pre-teens, and later teens 😂 I remember we watched in theaters American Pie, AP2 , Not Another Teen Movie and more teen movies. Cool short story about this song. About a year ago I was at a hockey game and this song was being played during stoppage of play.
