Yes it's a continuation from IU's You & I mv. In this mv the clock drawing on his wrist was gone and instead IU left a blue flower instead.

Your theory was right. It's the contuniation story of You&I that released back then in 2011. IU said on her concert before that she make this song about last year while looking at the calender on You&I M/V
